Lead a cross-functional team to build platform capabilities that defend against fraud, abuse, and harmful activity. Own the product backlog and roadmap to deliver safety-focused products across the user journey.
About the Role
We are looking for a Platform Product Manager to join a Trust & Safety team that protects a global community of users and the people they interact with. Trust is the foundation of any marketplace where people open their homes, offer experiences, and connect with strangers, and your work will be central to keeping that community safe. This is a broad, high impact role where you will identify customer pain points and business opportunities, then define and deliver products that build safety into every moment of the user journey. You will have the opportunity to drive cross functional and company wide initiatives that shape the future of a trusted platform.
What You Will Do
- You will lead a cross functional working group of engineers, data scientists, designers, operations experts, and policy experts to drive alignment, execution, and launches.
- You will own the product backlog and roadmap, including the prioritization process for product solutions based on business value and customer impact.
- You will define goals and success with clearly measurable objectives and key results, and build alignment across product teams and with leadership and executive stakeholders.
- You will anticipate bottlenecks, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs, customer needs, and technical or operational constraints, while presenting roadmap and status updates to leadership on an ongoing basis.
- You will evaluate new product opportunities and bring forward buy, build, or partner proposals backed by data and user insight. You will develop short term plans aligned with long term goals to iteratively build platform capabilities that defend against fraud, abuse, and other harmful activity.
- You will also build and scale platform capabilities that enable rapid deployment, experimentation, monitoring, and governance of machine learning and AI powered defenses, partnering with Operations, Policy, Legal, Privacy, and other Product and Engineering teams to ensure enforcement systems are accurate, explainable, operationally effective, and aligned with customer and business outcomes.
