Role Overview

We are looking for Korean-speaking visual researchers, photographers, and annotators to create image-based evaluation tasks for advanced AI systems.

The work involves sourcing authentic real-world images, verifying image rights and provenance, researching subjects using tools such as Google Search, Google Lens, and reverse image search, and creating cropped, masked, or degraded versions that preserve enough clues for multi-step investigation. You will also prepare English-language prompts, grading criteria, and solution notes for each task.

CONTRACT: Freelance (16 weeks)

COMMITMENT: 40h/week

LOCATION: 100% Remote - USA, UK, Canada, South Korea

PROCESS: Application Review and Photography Portfolio Review

Responsibilities

  • Source authentic photographs of real-world places, products, and media relevant to the target locale.
  • Verify image licensing, copyright status, and provenance.
  • Conduct multi-step visual research using Google Search, Google Lens, and reverse image search.
  • Create cropped, masked, occluded, or degraded image versions that hide key identifiers while preserving realistic clues.
  • Write clear, time-bounded prompts in English without revealing the answer.
  • Create concise, objective grading criteria for each evaluation instance.
  • Document the correct identity, research path, supporting evidence, and expected answer.
  • Work with structured file-naming, shared Google Drive folders, and submission guidelines.
  • Maintain consistency and quality across multiple evaluation tasks.

Requirements

  • Native or highly fluent Korean.
  • Strong working proficiency in English.
  • Strong local cultural knowledge, including non-touristy landmarks, universities, municipal buildings, and domestic media.
  • Comfortable conducting iterative visual and web research from partial image clues.
  • Ability to verify copyright-free, public-domain, Creative Commons, or otherwise licensed imagery.
  • Basic image-editing skills for cropping, masking, and obscuring visual details.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to write concise, objective evaluation criteria.
  • Comfortable using Google Drive and structured digital workflows.
