Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Quality Assurance & Training Advisor is a hands-on role dedicated to documenting how our business runs and ensuring our team knows how to execute it perfectly. This position owns the end-to-end process of auditing current workflows, writing clear and updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and translating those procedures into practical training modules. Your main goal is to eliminate operational confusion, reduce onboarding time, and build a structured, reliable knowledge base that teams can easily access and rely on every day.
SOP Generation, Optimization & Governance:
Process Auditing & Analysis: Partner with cross-functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to audit legacy workflows, unearth operational bottlenecks, and identify critical process gaps.
SOP Technical Writing: Author crystal-clear, highly functional, and standardized SOPs, policy guidelines, and process maps that simplify complex technical executions.
Continuous Improvement: Review existing documentation systematically, ensuring updates are deployed instantly when software, regulations, or strategic business goals shift.
Document Control Management: Champion and maintain the centralized operational knowledge repository, establishing a strict version-control framework and approval hierarchy.
Regulatory Compliance Alignment: Ensure all documented procedures rigorously satisfy industry standards, legal mandates, and internal quality assurance baselines
Instructional Design & Training Creation:
Curriculum Development: Translate finalized SOPs into digestible, structured learning paths, building training modules, slide decks, visual aids, and interactive e-learning materials.
Training Delivery Execution: Orchestrate and lead train-the-trainer workshops and ongoing refresher courses for department leads and supervisors.
Modern LMS Management: Oversee and curate the digital Learning Management System (LMS), tracking completion rates, identifying recurring learning roadblocks, and maintaining neat training logs.
Competency Assessment: Construct rigorous evaluation criteria, practical field tests, and quizzes to objectively measure training efficacy and employee performance retention.
Strategic Advisory & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Change Management Advocacy: Serve as an empathetic change agent across the enterprise, proactively communicating operational updates to smooth over friction during transitions
Operational Performance Consulting: Collaborate with executive leadership to provide regular, data-driven reports linking training completions and SOP updates straight to core business KPIs (e.g., error rate reductions, speed-to-productivity).
New Pharmacy Implementation & Readiness: Partner with cross-functional launch teams to lead the operational readiness strategy for new pharmacy implementations and system rollouts; ensure all onboarding pathways, site-specific SOPs, and compliance training modules are fully validated and deployed ahead of go-live dates.
Qualifications:
B.S./PharmD degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy required.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in an alternate setting/home infusion required.
Minimum 3+ years dedicated experience in operational role authoring technical documentation/SOPs, managing process improvement initiatives, or directing corporate training programs required.
