Pest Control Industry Advisor

About the role

Authority is building an expert intelligence network to understand and forecast important developments across the United States pest control industry.

We are looking for an experienced pest control professional who is currently active in the United States market and has up-to-date knowledge of operating conditions, customer demand and competitive dynamics.

You will provide practical market intelligence about pricing, service demand, customer acquisition, labor availability, regulation, technology, acquisitions and changes in residential and commercial pest management.

Your insights will help us improve datasets and forecasting models designed to predict commercial events and outcomes across the pest control industry.

What you will contribute

• Participate in short monthly research calls
• Explain important changes in the United States pest control market
• Review market data and identify missing or inaccurate information
• Assess demand, pricing, staffing and competitive conditions
• Provide intelligence on operators, service categories, technology and consolidation
• Review forecasts and explain which market signals could affect the outcome

Relevant areas of expertise

• Residential or commercial pest control operations
• General pest, termite, mosquito, wildlife or specialty services
• Pricing, routing, technician productivity and customer retention
• Sales, marketing and customer acquisition
• Hiring, training and labor availability
• Regulation, licensing and pesticide compliance
• Technology, software and equipment
• Acquisitions, franchising and industry consolidation

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Currently operating in or closely involved with the United States pest control market
• Strong and current knowledge of market conditions
• Firsthand exposure to commercial, operational or strategic decisions in the industry
• A valid LinkedIn profile showing relevant professional experience

Engagement details

• Independent contract
• Remote within the United States
• Approximately 2 to 4 paid consulting hours per month

This is not a full-time position. It is a paid, flexible expert consulting engagement.
