Persian Interpreter (Los Angeles)

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an independent contractor position offering a flexible work schedule and ongoing opportunities.

The interpreter will provide professional interpreting services primarily in healthcare settings. Assignments are based in the Los Angeles, CA and are available on a regular basis, depending on the demand for specific languages and the interpreter's qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Fluency in both Persian and English
• Demonstrated experience providing accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings, with the highest level of fidelity to the original communication
• Strong ability to interpret orally between Persian and English in both directions
• Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• Skilled in meeting the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders
• Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience
• Possession, or willingness to obtain medical clearances, including but not limited to vaccination/immunization records, and background clearances as needed
• Possession of a valid California license
