Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one peer support and recovery coaching to individuals navigating behavioral health and substance use challenges
Assist clients in developing personalized recovery plans and setting achievable wellness goals
Connect clients with community resources, social services, and treatment programs
Offer crisis support and help clients build coping skills and resilience strategies
Facilitate peer support groups and recovery-focused workshops
Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in compliance with Idaho Department of Health & Welfare standards
Collaborate with behavioral health clinicians, case managers, and community partners to ensure coordinated care
Requirements:
Personal lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery is required
Idaho Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Strong empathy, active listening, and motivational interviewing skills
Familiarity with trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented systems of care
Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building authentic, trusting relationships
Basic computer skills for documentation and case management software
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
