Key Responsibilities: • Assist with the accurate and timely processing of weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for all employees, adhering to internal policies and statutory regulations (e.g., PF, ESI, TDS). • Verify timesheets, attendance records, and other payroll-related data for accuracy and completeness. • Support the calculation and processing of employee salaries, wages, bonuses, and deductions. • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner. • Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and employee information. • Assist in the preparation and submission of various payroll reports and compliance documents. • Support year-end payroll processing and associated tax documentation. • Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations. • Stay updated on relevant payroll legislation and best practices in India. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field. • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes. • Prior internship or academic project experience in accounting, finance, or HR is a plus. Qualifications: • Knowledge of basic payroll principles and practices. • Familiarity with common Indian statutory compliances like PF, ESI, and TDS is an advantage. • Experience with payroll software (e.g., Tally, SAP Payroll) is beneficial but not mandatory. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
