Patient Advocacy Paralegal

Imagine360 is seeking a Patient Advocacy Paralegal to join the team! The Patient Advocacy Paralegal assists the external law firms in monitoring and reviewing prelitigation files to determine the appropriate course of action with regard to balance bill defense and member advocacy.

Position Location: 100% remote

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Act as a liaison between the Legal Department, external law firms retained by Imagine360, Billing Advocates, and other internal departments to support legal and compliance efforts.
• Manage multiple balance bill and debt collection accounts simultaneously.
• Collaborate with attorneys to develop legal arguments and case strategies.
• Respond to inquiries from Client Services, Billing Advocacy staff, hospitals, debt collectors, and clients.
• Review hospital agreements, billing statements, explanations of benefits (EOBs), plan documents, and other supporting records.
• Prepare correspondence and documentation for attorney review and approval.
• Apply strong multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage competing priorities.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail while supporting legal and compliance initiatives.

Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated skill in negotiating and resolving conflicts.
• Extremely detail-oriented and possess the ability to prioritize workload.
• Excellent communication, judgment, and analytical skills.
• Debt collection experience and knowledge of FDCPA and other consumer protection laws is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Salesforce a plus.
