Position Summary
We are seeking a highly autonomous, commercially minded Partnerships & Events Director to establish our brand as the premier local storage solution. As an independent contractor, you will have the schedule flexibility to develop, host, and optimize local marketing channels. Your primary objective is to turn local networking events, trade shows, and professional design/trade relationships into an active, revenue-generating pipeline.
Core Deliverables & Scope of Work
1. B2B Referral Partner Network Development

Targeted Outreach: Proactively identify, pitch, and develop new partnership opportunities to drive growth and revenue with professional trade partners—including custom cabinet makers, luxury home builders, high-end realtors, and remodelers.

Establish Strategic Partnerships: Formally onboard trade partners into the Art of Drawers referral network by executing formal referral partnership agreements.

Asset Distribution Management: Coordinate the delivery of high-end Art of Drawers marketing materials (such as design sketchbooks) to partner networks to generate warm, inbound leads.
2. Event Optimization & Community Presence

Host & Organize Events: Plan, coordinate, and execute targeted networking events, promotions, pop-ups, and community outreach opportunities with local home service partners and Chambers of Commerce.

Event Logistics: Manage all event logistics, including vendor coordination, setup, breakdown, and timelines.

Lead Pipeline Generation: Generate high-intent leads at events, festivals, home shows, and retail locations by engaging directly with the community.

Appointment Setting: Convert event interactions and partner introductions into qualified, scheduled design consultations.
Candidate Qualifications
Professional Experience: 3+ years of experience in marketing, business development, event coordination, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Project Management: Strong project management and organizational skills with sharp attention to detail.

Execution Capability: A proven ability to execute events and marketing initiatives from concept to completion while managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Interpersonal Mastery: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of professionalism.

Self-Motivation: A self-starter with the ability to follow through with minimal direction and proactively solve problems.

Physical & Logistical Capabilities: Must have reliable transportation to and from event locations and the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds for event setup and breakdown.
Compensation Framework
1. Front-End Pipeline (Activity-Based)

Electronic qualified lead. Paid when an electronic or physical sketchbook is requested by and sent to a validated prospect.

Set Appointment Paid when an event contact or partner referral successfully schedules and completes an in-home design consultation.
2. Back-End Referral & Growth Fees (Results-Based)

Referral Partner Onboarding Bonus Paid when a core trade partner (e.g., cabinet maker, builder, realtor, designer) formally joins the network and signs the referral partnership agreement.

Closed Revenue Commission: Paid on all completed sales generated from any lead or B2B referral channel established by the contractor.
