Partner with Portable Book of Business, All Practice Areas

About the Role

An established New Jersey full-service law firm is seeking a Partner with a portable book of business to join its expanding practice. Real estate is a priority, and the role offers a broad platform for client service, collaboration across practice areas, and business development.

What You'll Do

• Bring and grow your portable client relationships using the firm's full-service platform and cross-practice opportunities.

• Develop and execute a business development plan with support from the firm's marketing team.

• Advise clients with a practical, business-oriented approach, including strategic counseling and value-conscious service.

• Mentor and train associates and counsel working on your matters.

• For real estate partners with a substantial book, consider opportunities for practice leadership.

What We're Looking For

• Eight to 15 years of experience as a partner.

• A documented portable book of at least $500,000 in originations over the last two to three years, based on your own clients rather than relationship credit.

• Experience in New Jersey commercial or transactional real estate; real estate and land use partners are of particular interest.

• Client relationships that clear conflicts, rates suited to a New Jersey platform, and a stable career history.

• A collaborative, business-minded approach to client service and experience mentoring attorneys.

• Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual base salary range: $250,000 to $500,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Remote within the United States, with New York as the primary location.
