Part-Time Instructor - Education 505: Introduction to Educational Research (Online) - Inclusive Education/Mental Health Concentration - July 2026

The StFX University Faculty of Education, in partnership with StFX Online Learning & Professional Studies, invites applications for a Part-time Academic Instructor for the following course:

Course Number and Title: 505: Introduction to Educational Research – combined Inclusive Education (Curriculum and Instruction) Concentration/Mental Health (Curriculum and Instruction) Concentration

Course Description: This introductory course focuses on educators as researchers and creates opportunities for them to inquire into their practice to improve learning for students. Strategies and tools relevant to schools/classrooms and teacher research are explored. The goal of this course is to enable educators to develop an inquiry stance and to see how research can occur as they inquire into their own practice by intentionally using appropriate research methods and data to inform decision making. Three credits.

Start and End Dates: July 20 to July 30, 2026

Class Schedule:

• Classes are three days a week, for two weeks: July 20, 22, and 24 and July 27, 28, and 30
• Times: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (Atlantic time)

Delivery Mode: Online

Qualifications: Candidates should have a PhD or MEd with significant experience in the course area. The committee will begin consideration of applicants on May 25, 2026
