Bottom Line Up Front:Hoplite Group is seeking a Fighter Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a U.S. Government (USG) building partner capacity effort focused on strengthening a partner nation’s combat aviation capabilities through operational advising, analysis, training, and sustainment planning.
Location: Remote support (CONUS) and forward engagements (OCONUS) as part of a U.S. Government advising effort.
Level of Effort:
Non-travel months: Approximately 30–50 hours/month.
Travel months: Approximately 80–90 hours/month.
Initial travel anticipated October 2026
Availability: Immediate
Objective: Support combat aviation capability development efforts through operational analysis, planning, training, and sustainment advisory support.
Required Qualifications:
Retired O-6 with experience commanding at the Squadron, Group, or Wing level.
Experience as an F-16, F/A-18, or F-35 pilot.
Understanding of U.S. defense planning and strategy development.
Experience with operational analysis, readiness reporting, and doctrine or CONOPS development.
Experience supporting combat aircraft operations planning and strategy development.
Experience evaluating operational plans and operational risk.
Graduate of SAASS, SAMS, SAW, or similar advanced military planning program.
Experience supporting aviation capability development or institutional capacity-building efforts.
