About the Role:

Veterans Moving Forward is looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to join our passionate team. Responsibilities:

Balance and maintain accurate ledgers bank accounts.
Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management.
Monitor office expenses and enter cash receipts.
Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances.
Develop monthly financial statements to include statement of activities, statement of financial position, and profit and loss reports.
Process payroll and track payroll data.
Assist with tax payments and returns.
Assist with charitable state registrations.
Record financial transactions, reconcile bank statements and record keeping for VMF.
Work with the Senior Staff and other vendors as needed.

Requirements:

Degree in accounting or related field preferred
At least 3 years’ experience working accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, etc.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Experience with data entry and record keeping.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially excel.
Fluent in Quickbook.
