Significance Inc. is seeking an Oracle Middleware Administrator to support a federal program with the Department of Energy (DOE). This role will be remote.

 

This role will support DOE's enterprise IT operations and maintenance environment, providing administration, security, and lifecycle support across DOE's Oracle Fusion Middleware stack. The successful candidate will serve as the primary administrator for Oracle WebCenter, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Internet Directory (OID)/Oracle Access Manager (OAM), and will serve as the team's subject matter expert for SSL/TLS encryption across the middleware environment. The candidate will also provide secondary/backup support across DOE's broader Oracle technology stack, working alongside other team SMEs on those products.

 

The Oracle Middleware Administrator administers, secures, and maintains DOE's Oracle Fusion Middleware environment, serving as lead for identity, content, and monitoring platforms and as the team's SSL/TLS encryption SME.

Key Responsibilities • Middleware Administration:

  • Serve as primary administrator for Oracle WebCenter (Portal and Content), Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Internet Directory (OID), and Oracle Access Manager (OAM), including installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
  • SSL/TLS Encryption SME: Own the design, implementation, renewal, and troubleshooting of SSL/TLS certificates and encryption configurations across the Oracle middleware environment, including data-in-transit encryption requirements.
  • Monitoring & Health: Use Oracle Enterprise Manager to monitor system health, availability, and performance across the middleware stack, and drive remediation of identified issues
  • Identity & Access Management: Maintain OID/OAM configurations supporting authentication, directory services, and single sign-on for DOE applications Secondary Product Support: Provide backup and cross-functional support across Oracle Database, WebLogic, APEX, Analytics, and Data Integrator as needed, coordinating with the primary SMEs for those products
  • Compliance & Security: Enforce federal security controls including NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP requirements, and support DOE cybersecurity audits and assessments related to middleware and encryption
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with DOE program managers, security teams, and other Oracle product SMEs to resolve system issues and support continuous improvement.

Required Skills:
  • Experience: 8+ years supporting Oracle Fusion Middleware in an enterprise or federal environment, with demonstrated depth in Oracle WebCenter, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and OID/OAM
  • SSL/TLS Expertise: Demonstrated subject matter expertise in SSL/TLS certificate management and encryption implementation in an enterprise middleware environment
  • Education: Minimum bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (equivalent experience considered). • Technical Stack: Working knowledge of the broader Oracle stack (Database, WebLogic, APEX, Analytics, Data Integrator) sufficient to provide secondary support.
  • DOE is committed to a secure, modern, and highly available enterprise IT environment that meets evolving departmental needs while conforming to all government regulatory and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Experience supporting DOE or another federal agency's Oracle middleware environment
  • Oracle certifications (WebCenter, Enterprise Manager, or Identity Management) • Agile delivery experience • AI-focused / automation mindset • Team and client-focused
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills

Additional Information:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.
  • This role is fully remote. Accessing DOE Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) or logging into the DOE network from outside the United States is strictly prohibited without proper authorization.
