The Onboarding & Training Specialist will lead the end-to-end onboarding process for new dental practices, ensuring successful implementation of digital workflows and scanner adoption. They will provide clinical training, monitor early performance, and act as the primary point of contact to drive long-term customer retention.
Our client, Incisive, is growing again!
About Incisive
Incisive is building a better model for restorative dentistry. Independent practices are under pressure: lab consolidation is accelerating, digital dentistry has arrived, but most practices are only halfway there, and building a complete workflow alone is expensive, slow, and isolating.
We solve that through one partnership: curated labs matched to specific case types, no-cost digital equipment, a portal to track every case and manage every invoice in one place, and a clinical support team to help. More than 650 doctors nationwide trust us, we retain over 95% of them year over year, and we're growing fast. If you have high standards and want to do work that compounds, you'll fit right in.
Position Overview
Incisive is hiring an Onboarding & Training Specialist to own the first and most critical phase of the customer lifecycle: onboarding, training, and early adoption.
You will be the primary point of contact for new practices from scanner delivery through their first successful cases and transition to steady-state usage. The quality of this first experience directly impacts customer confidence, utilization, and long-term retention. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that requires in-depth knowledge of digital restorative workflows and a strong instructional presence.
This role must work Eastern or Central Time Zone hours to align with practice schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Onboarding
- Lead end-to-end onboarding for new practices from scanner delivery through first successful cases and handoff to steady-state
- Guide practices through a structured onboarding program with clear milestones, adapting delivery to each practice's staff structure, learning style, and pace
- Create and configure lab accounts; coordinate directly with lab partners on practice preferences, case workflows, and submission requirements
- Ensure practices understand Incisive's value proposition, quality standards, and how the lab network operates
- Facilitate change management with dentists and practice leaders to build buy-in for digital workflow adoption
Clinical & Workflow Training
- Deliver engaging virtual (and occasionally in-person) training sessions across our supported scanner platforms (Sirios X3, Trios, and ICAM), covering scanning workflows (crowns, bridges, implants), case submission and lab-specific workflows, and scanner care and maintenance
- Provide hands-on, live scanning coaching so clinical teams can practice under guidance
- Provide live chairside support for early cases to ensure first-case success
- Deliver advanced training for complex workflows (AOX, dentures, complex restorative) as needed
- Provide retraining and follow-up sessions to drive sustained adoption and utilization
- Early Adoption & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor first cases and early scan quality; deliver clear, constructive feedback to improve technique
- Track early practice performance against activation milestones and time-to-value targets
- Identify gaps in adoption or utilization and run targeted follow-up to close them
- Identify early risk signals during onboarding and escalate proactively to Customer Success
Continuous Improvement
- Document onboarding outcomes, recurring friction points, and training effectiveness
- Recommend improvements to training curriculum, materials, and onboarding processes as we scale
