Seeking an OMS Support Architect with deep expertise in IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) to support and evolve a highly integrated enterprise order management ecosystem.
This individual will serve as the technical leader for OMS architecture, implementation support, transaction analysis, system integrations, and platform optimization. The ideal candidate possesses strong functional knowledge of order management processes while also understanding the technical architecture required to support sourcing, inventory visibility, fulfillment, and order orchestration within a complex enterprise environment.
The Architect will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and enterprise architects to drive scalable OMS solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and support ongoing platform enhancements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide architectural leadership and implementation support for IBM Sterling OMS.
- Support and optimize OMS capabilities including:
- Sourcing
- Inventory Visibility
- Order Hub
- Order Orchestration
- Analyze and troubleshoot end-to-end order lifecycle transactions across OMS and connected applications.
- Lead solution design efforts and evaluate configuration versus customization approaches.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable OMS solutions.
- Support development and QA teams by providing technical guidance and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze integration failures, data flows, payloads, and transaction exceptions to determine root causes.
- Design and support integrations between OMS, ERP, WMS, eCommerce, EDI, and supply chain platforms.
- Document architecture, business processes, system interfaces, and technical dependencies.
- Drive continuous platform improvement, scalability, performance optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Lead coordination between onshore and offshore teams to ensure successful delivery of OMS initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 5–9+ years of IBM Sterling OMS experience, specifically with Sourcing, Inventory Visibility, Order Hub, and Order Orchestration.
- 2+ years leading onshore/offshore teams in a Technical Lead or Architect capacity, driving requirements, acceptance criteria, and solution delivery.
- Experience designing OMS solutions, evaluating customization vs. configuration, and optimizing platform performance.
- Experience deploying or supporting OMS solutions in cloud environments (IBM Cloud preferred).
- Strong understanding of enterprise integrations, APIs, and end-to-end order management processes.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- OMS integrations with SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Experience with omni-channel fulfillment (BOPIS, Ship-from-Store, Dropship, Returns).
- Kafka, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, or other middleware/integration platforms.
- Experience supporting large-scale retail, distribution, or supply chain environments.
- Automation, testing, and OMS modernization experience.

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.
For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
