We are seeking highly motivated and tech-savvy On-the-Job Trainees (OJTs) to join our
Systems and Process Automation Team. This role offers hands-on experience in developing
digital solutions such as client portals, AI agents, and workflow automations that support
the operational excellence and innovation goals of The Back Room.

As an OJT, you will be immersed in agile development practices, work with cross-functional
teams, and contribute to ongoing automation and AI initiatives designed to streamline
client interaction and internal processes.

What You'll Do

• Assist senior developers in building and maintaining backend APIs and services for
  internal tools and client portals.

• Assist in developing and maintaining backend APIs, services, and client portals.

• Support server-side development and database operations under supervision.

• Help integrate systems with third-party services, APIs, SDKs, and AI tools.

• Assist in building workflow automations using scripts or low-code tools.

• Support authentication, access control, and secure data handling.

• Collaborate with the team to turn requirements into development tasks and solutions.

• Participate in Agile activities, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and reviews.

• Perform basic backend testing, troubleshooting, and bug reporting.

• Help maintain technical documentation, including APIs and data flows.

• Learn and apply best practices in deployment, version control, backend technologies, and automation.

What We're Looking For

• Student currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an IT-related degree (Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or similar)

• Basic knowledge of programming and software development concepts.

• Exposure to programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, PHP, Java, or similar.

• Interest in AI, workflow automation, and emerging technologies.

• Familiarity with backend development, APIs, and databases.

• Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and frameworks.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
