The Offshore Accounting Delivery Manager will lead and scale the Philippines-based accounting team by managing staffing, capacity planning, and service delivery quality. They are responsible for ensuring deliverables meet U.S. GAAP standards, developing SOPs, and mentoring staff to maintain high performance.
A growing U.S.-based accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Offshore Accounting Delivery Manager to lead and scale its Philippines-based accounting delivery team.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivery quality, staffing, capacity planning, team development, onboarding, and retention. The successful candidate will ensure the Philippines team is appropriately staffed across multiple U.S. client engagements while maintaining strong accounting standards and increasing billable utilization.
You will work closely with U.S.-based accounting leadership and recruiting to build a high-performing offshore delivery function capable of supporting a growing client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Manage account-level staffing, capacity planning, and utilization across multiple U.S. client engagements.
Maintain visibility into staffing gaps, available capacity, workload, and engagement risks.
Review accounting work and ensure deliverables meet established quality and U.S. GAAP standards.
Serve as the primary escalation point for technical accounting and workflow questions.
Develop and maintain SOPs for recurring accounting activities, including reconciliations, payroll journals, month-end close, and revenue schedules.
Partner with recruiting to define hiring requirements, assess candidates, conduct interviews, and make hiring recommendations.
Lead onboarding and training programs designed to make new hires productive and billable within 30 days.
Coach, mentor, and develop accounting professionals while supporting strong employee retention.
Identify operational issues early and implement solutions before they impact clients.
Build scalable processes, documentation, training materials, and team workflows.
Support the growth of the offshore team as the organization takes on additional U.S. client engagements.
Requirements
Qualifications
7+ years of progressive accounting experience with experience as an Accounting Manager, Senior Manager, Controller, or equivalent.
Experience working for an accounting firm, CAS practice, or finance/accounting outsourcing organization.
Experience supporting multiple U.S. clients or engagements simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month-end close processes.
Proven experience managing approximately 15–30 accounting professionals.
Experience directly interviewing, hiring, training, and developing accounting staff.
Demonstrated experience creating SOPs, training programs, onboarding processes, or operational workflows.
Strong technical accounting judgment and ability to review work rather than simply coordinate it.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working U.S.-overlapping hours.
Strong ownership, problem-solving, persistence, and decision-making skills.
Must be based in the Philippines.
CPA certification is preferred.
