THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a National Operations Manager who is a positive change agent and can drive high customer satisfaction while supporting Divisional teams in building capabilities to fully execute and support the Sciens Service Suite (S3). This opportunity is ideal for someone who has experience managing operations across multiple locations in the fire alarm, fire protection and security industries and is ready to assume ownership of a national operations role while being part of a vibrant organization.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
- You’ll be responsible for ensuring all associates embrace the Sciens safety culture and comply with all safety initiatives.
- Identify current S3 execution capabilities by division, identify capability gaps and work with division management to create and implement an action plan to achieve full S3 capabilities.
- Ensure that Division associates including technicians, service coordinators, deficiency and renewal coordinators, service managers and supervisors receive the correct level of training to successfully perform in their roles.
- Assist divisions in communicating with customers, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to execute plans, programs and processes designed to meet or exceed market potential.
- Reports progress of S3 execution capabilities by division in an effective manner to senior executive team, and takes corrective action as needed.
- Responsible for driving a high-performance culture at the Division level.
- Responsible for assisting with manpower planning and allocation for assigned Divisions.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
- You have 5-10 years’ experience in an operations manager role within the fire alarm, fire protection and security industry, or a combination.
- You possess the ability to effectively communicate to a diverse group of individuals, including company leadership, regional staff, customers, and vendors.
- You are a strong, positive team builder with leadership ability.
- You have knowledge of current fire alarm, fire protection, and security systems.
- You also have a strong understanding of profit and loss statements and key financial drivers.
- Ability to travel up to 50% or as needed.
