Video Editing (Core Requirement)
Role Overview
The role will support both video editing and graphic design functions.
Work will be distributed across the two areas, with an estimated:
30% Video Projects
70% Graphic Design
Proficiency in:
Adobe Premiere Pro
Adobe After Effects
Skills & Experience:
Ability to create professional video content for digital, marketing, training and internal communication purposes.
Experience editing raw footage, recorded presentations, webinars, interviews and screen recordings into clear, engaging and polished final videos.
Ability to review long-form content, identify key messages and remove unnecessary sections while maintaining a logical flow and strong viewer engagement.
Experience creating professional videos using:
Titles and text overlays
Captions and subtitles
Lower thirds
Basic motion graphics and animations
Professional transitions
Intro and outro sequences
Branded graphic elements
Ability to export and optimise videos for multiple digital platforms while maintaining brand consistency.
Ability to combine video footage with images, graphics, animations and stock footage to create engaging marketing content.
Experience using B-roll, stock footage, icons and visual elements to enhance storytelling and audience engagement.
Basic audio editing skills, including:
Cleaning up background noise
Adjusting audio levels
Improving voice clarity
Syncing audio and video
Ability to apply basic colour correction to ensure videos maintain a consistent and professional appearance.
Understanding of video formats, export settings and optimisation for different platforms, including websites, social media, internal training platforms and presentations.
Ability to work from creative briefs, incorporate stakeholder feedback and manage multiple editing projects through to completion.
Strong understanding of video structure, pacing and storytelling to create content that is clear, professional and easy to follow.
Motion Graphics (Supporting Skill)
Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects to create simple animations and motion graphics.
Ability to create basic animated text, transitions, icons and branded visual elements.
Ability to enhance videos with simple visual effects and animations rather than complex motion design.
Graphic Design (Supporting Requirement)
Proficiency in:
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe InDesign
Adobe Acrobat
Skills & Experience:
Ability to create supporting marketing materials when video projects are not the priority.
Experience creating professional marketing assets for both digital and print channels.
Ability to design a variety of marketing materials, including:
Flyers
Digital banners
Email assets
Presentations
Promotional materials
Branded documents
Strong understanding of layout, typography, colour, imagery and visual consistency to ensure designs align with brand guidelines.
Ability to adapt and resize creative assets across different platforms while maintaining quality and brand integrity.
Experience working from creative briefs, using existing templates and brand assets, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver effective marketing content.
Ability to prepare artwork for digital and print use, ensuring files are correctly formatted and ready for production.
Ability to source and incorporate appropriate imagery, icons and design elements to enhance marketing materials.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to create clean, professional and visually engaging designs.
