Management Personnel Xchange (MPX) is a professional employment and talent agency built for progressive causes, companies, committees, and the people who power them. We help employers hire and retain great people—and we help professionals access real W-2 stability, payroll, and benefits—in an industry that’s often anything but stable.

We’re hiring MPX Professional Agents to expand our reach.

This role is open and currently a top hiring priority. (Wow, us.)

Reports to: President/Founder

The short version

You’re an agent. Your job is to build trust, open doors, and make smart matches—between progressive employers who need talent and professionals who want stability and a real career path. If you like relationship-building, follow-through, and being the person who “just makes things happen,” you’ll probably like this.

What you'll actually do

Most weeks, you'll be doing a mix of:

  •  Outreach that doesn't feel spammy: reaching out to employers and professionals through networks, referrals, events, online communities, and good old-fashioned cold outreach.
  • Intro calls + follow-ups: running first conversations, asking sharp questions, and moving the right people to a clear next step.
  • Representing talented individuals and packaging solutions: helping professionals land in the right roles and helping employers understand how MPX makes professional employment easier (W-2 employment, payroll, benefits, and a more professional experience for their team.
  • Keeping your pipeline tight: updating your CRM, tracking next steps, and staying organized enough that nothing good falls through the cracks.
  • Handing off cleanly: once someone is ready, you coordinate the transition into onboarding so the cleint experience stays smooth and professional.

How we measure success

We use KPIs to keep things clear and fair. You'll be expected to consistently build a pipeline and bring in new, revenue-generating employers and/or professionals.

We'll walk through the specific KPI targets during interviews and onboarding.

What we're looking for (must-haves)

  • You understand progressive/Democratic political work and the realities of how staffing and employment operate in this space (cycles, timelines, reputations, relationships).
  • You can manage yourself remotely: plan your day, execute, follow through, repeat.
  • You're comfortable being accountable to measurable goals (KPIs) without needing someone to hover.
  • You're professional, warm, and direct-people trust you quickly, and you protect that trust.

Nice-to-haves (not required)

  • Campaign/committee/c(4)/PAC/progressive org experience
  • Recruiting, staffing, or talent representation experience
  • Strong CRM habits (or the willingness to build them fast)
  • Community presence (posting, commenting, showing up, staying visible)

Compensation (choose your track)

This is a W-2 role with employee benefits. Commission is uncapped-high performers can earn more.

  • Track A: $50,000 base salary + 15% commission
  • Track B: $40,000 base salary + 20% commission

Commission details (high level):

  • Commission is tied to the MPX fee line item for the employees and employers you bring on, plus commission on the one-time initiation fee for new employees.
  • Commission is paid quarterly based on collected revenue.
