The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:

Location:Â Mercy Hospital St. Louis
Schedule:Â 6:30 AM â 7:00 PM | Full-Time | Rotating Weekends & Holidays
Training:Â Day shift training for the first 6â8 weeks

What Youâll Do:
Monitor cardiac rhythms and alert clinical staff to changes
Review patient data to identify patterns and variances
Work closely with nurses and care teams to ensure patient safety
Be a calm, focused presence during overnight hours
What Youâll Need:
Education:Â High school diploma or GED
Training: Completion of a monitor tech course or passing score (85%) on our competency exam
Certification:Â CRAT certification within 1 year of hire
Skills:Â Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and quick decision-making under pressure
Experience:Â Healthcare experience is a plus, but not requiredâweâll train you!
