About the Role

We are seeking a Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Consultant to play a key role in establishing, enhancing, and expanding a modern data and analytics environment. This position combines hands-on technical delivery with strategic advisory support, helping drive data-driven decision-making through scalable reporting, analytics, and data platform solutions.

The successful candidate will bring strong expertise across Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, data engineering, and modern analytics technologies, while contributing to the growth and maturity of the organisation’s data capabilities.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong expertise in Power BI development, dashboard creation, and reporting solutions.
• Experience designing and implementing data engineering, ETL/ELT, and data modelling solutions.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with modern data platforms.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, analytics, and reporting best practices.
• Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with Azure Data Services.
• Knowledge of Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and OneLake architectures.
• Experience integrating Microsoft Copilot capabilities within analytics environments.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Exposure to AI-enabled analytics and self-service reporting solutions.
• Previous consulting or advisory experience.

• Assess and review the existing Microsoft Fabric environment and provide recommendations for optimisation and improvement.
• Design, develop, and implement data ingestion, transformation, and modelling processes within Microsoft Fabric.
• Build and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions that support business objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, prioritise, and deliver high-value business use cases.
• Support the development of data architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
• Integrate additional data sources into the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
• Identify opportunities to leverage Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities within the data platform.
• Provide technical guidance and strategic recommendations on Microsoft Fabric features, capabilities, and future roadmap opportunities.
• Produce and maintain documentation including solution designs, data flows, and implementation approaches.
• Support platform administration, optimisation activities, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
