Position Summary
The Workbrain Time & Attendance Subject Matter Expert (SME) serves as the primary functional expert responsible for the design, configuration, and ongoing support of the enterprise timekeeping system. This role ensures accurate and compliant time and pay practices in alignment with payroll processes, company policies, and federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations.
The SME partners closely with Payroll, HR, Operations, and IT, and governs the activities of an external service provider responsible for system changes and enhancements. This role provides direction, prioritization, and oversight to ensure system updates are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with CVS Health standards.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with time and attendance systems (Workbrain strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and end-to-end pay cycle integration
- In-depth understanding of wage and hour labor laws, including FLSA and multi-state requirements
- Experience configuring and managing pay rules within a timekeeping system
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and govern third-party service delivery
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a large, complex, multi-state organization (retail or healthcare environment preferred)
Familiarity with integrations between timekeeping, HRIS, and payroll systems
Experience with audits, compliance programs, and internal controls
Prior experience working within shared services or HR Service Delivery models
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related HR Field preferred or equal years of working experience may be considered

The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,330.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
