The MEP Design Engineer will prepare and develop MEP designs, layouts, and 2D/3D drawings for commercial and warehouse projects. They will also provide technical support to the onshore Australian team by updating drawings and assisting with design documentation.

This is an offshore role based in the Philippines, focused primarily on design, drafting, and technical support for small to mid-sized commercial and light industrial projects.
The role will involve working on warehouse and commercial building designs, supporting the onshore team with high-quality drawings, technical inputs, and coordination.
What You’ll DoYou’ll be the kind of person who:
- Prepare and develop MEP designs and layouts for commercial and warehouse projects
- Produce 2D drawings and basic 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit
- Assist in the design of:
- Supplementary units (HVAC systems)
- Air conditioning systems
- Basic hydraulic/plumbing systems
- Chilled water systems and tanks
- Apply fundamental knowledge of:
- Thermodynamics
- Fluid dynamics
- Technical Support & Coordination
- Support the onshore team with design updates and revisions
- Review and update drawings based on feedback from the local (AU) team
- Assist in preparing technical documentation and design inputs
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with project requirements
- Documentation
- Maintain accurate and organized drawing files and documentation
- Assist in preparing basic reports and design documentation where required
- Ensure all drawings meet project standards and specifications
- Scope Clarification (Offshore Role)
- This role is design and drafting focused
- Reporting, site inspections, and compliance checks are handled by the local Australia-based team
- The offshore engineer will support design and documentation, not site execution
Requirements
What you bringWe’re looking for someone who:
- 2–5 years of experience in MEP design and drafting
- Strong proficiency in:
- AutoCAD (essential)
- Revit (preferred)
- Basic 2D design tools
- Experience working on:
- Commercial projects
- Warehouse or light industrial projects (advantageous)
- Basic understanding of:
- HVAC systems
- Hydraulics/plumbing
- Chilled water systems
- Thermodynamics and fluid dynamics
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills in English
