The specialist will plan, specify, and coordinate medical equipment requirements for healthcare facility projects while collaborating with clinical, government, and construction teams. They are responsible for managing equipment inventories, developing transition plans, and ensuring all equipment meets infrastructure and procurement standards.
Position Summary Martek Global Services is seeking an experienced Medical Equipment Planning Specialist to support a short-term healthcare facilities project. This is an approximately four-month, project-based position, anticipated to be full-time for the first three months, with reduced hours based on project needs during the final month. The Medical Equipment Planning Specialist will provide expertise in the planning and specification of medical equipment for multidisciplinary healthcare facility projects. Working closely with Government representatives, clinical personnel, project teams, design and construction teams, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), this position will help ensure medical equipment requirements are properly identified, specified, coordinated, documented, and integrated throughout the project lifecycle. This position may be performed remotely from within the United States; however, travel to customer sites may be required based on project needs.

Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive planning for medical, non-medical, and IM/IT equipment and systems throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with Government representatives, clinical personnel, project teams, and OEMs to identify and validate equipment requirements.
Review equipment plans to ensure compatibility with facility infrastructure, including space, access, power, cooling, and other installation requirements.
Coordinate end-user requirements and equipment specifications prior to procurement while supporting equipment standardization across the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
Identify Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor-Furnished Equipment (CFE), including long-lead items, and incorporate requirements into project and transition schedules.
Develop and maintain equipment inventories and inventory control plans, including asset identification, location, manufacturer, condition, age, serial numbers, and other required data.
Prepare equipment cut sheets, specifications, quotes, cost estimates, and options for Government review.
Develop equipment submittal packages for Government evaluation and acceptance.
Develop and maintain medical equipment transition and phasing plans for de-installation, packing, delivery, installation, and activation.
Coordinate equipment transition activities with the overall project transition and construction schedule.
Support equipment validation, installation, activation, and coordination with design and construction teams.
When directed, support RFQ/RFP and bid activities by researching equipment options, specifications, and pricing.
Maintain accurate project documentation and perform other duties as required to support successful project completion.
Qualifications Required
Minimum of five (5) years of medical equipment planning experience.
Minimum of three (3) years of medical equipment planning experience supporting relevant Federal, Department of Defense (DoD), and/or U.S. Army projects.
General knowledge of the U.S. Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS).
Experience planning and specifying medical equipment for multidisciplinary healthcare facility projects.
Experience coordinating medical equipment requirements with project stakeholders, including clinical/end-user personnel, design and construction teams, and equipment manufacturers.
Ability to travel to customer sites as required based on project needs.
Preferred
Experience supporting Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) projects.
Experience with medical equipment transition planning, installation, activation, and validation.
CBET and/or PMP certification.
Experience with VA and/or DoD medical reporting systems.
