Our expertise includes full-service capabilities, resourcing, and Functional Service (FSP) solutions.
The Medical Coding Specialist is responsible for performing accurate and timely medical coding activities for clinical trial data using MedDRA. This role will support an ongoing clinical study by coding adverse events, medical history, and other clinical data while ensuring consistency and data quality.
As part of our SRS/FSP team, you will be dedicated to one sponsor, a global pharmaceutical or biotechnology company that is an industry leader within its therapeutic area.
Perform manual coding of clinical trial data using MedDRA.
Code adverse events (AEs), medical history (MH), and other study-related clinical data.
Review and assess verbatim terms to ensure accurate dictionary assignment.
Maintain coding quality, consistency, and compliance with study requirements.
Resolve coding queries and support ongoing data review and cleaning activities.
Collaborate with study teams to ensure coding activities are completed according to project timelines.
Previous experience in medical coding within a clinical research, biotech, pharmaceutical, or CRO environment.
Strong knowledge and practical experience working with MedDRA.
Experience performing manual coding of adverse events and medical history data.
Understanding of clinical trial processes and clinical data management principles.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
