AI Summary

The Media Buyer will own and execute paid media strategies across Meta, Google, TikTok, and emerging platforms to drive profitable growth. They are responsible for managing budgets, optimizing campaigns based on contribution margin, and coordinating with creative and commerce teams.

Triquetra Health is hiring an in-house Media Buyer to own paid media across all non-Amazon channels. You will manage buying across Meta, Google, and TikTok, and stand up new platforms — Reddit, Pinterest, X, and others — as we determine where to invest next.

This is a hands-on role. We are bringing paid media in-house so that daily spend decisions are made by someone inside the business who knows our products and our economics. You will build and run campaigns, manage spend within approved budgets and profitability guardrails, own the testing pipeline, and report channel performance to leadership.

We are looking for a performance marketer who thinks in contribution margin, not just ROAS — someone who cuts unprofitable spend quickly, scales what works faster, and supports every decision with the math.

Essential Functions

Channel strategy and budget

• Partner with the Shopify lead to set channel- and product-level spend thresholds, and manage each product within its threshold..

• Allocate spend across non-Amazon channels within approved budgets and agreed guardrails, tied to revenue and margin goals..

• Evaluate new platforms, recommend which to test, design the test, define success and discontinuation criteria, and report results on a defined timeline..

Campaign execution and optimization

• Build, launch, and manage campaigns end to end..

• Manage audiences, bidding, budgets, placements, and creative rotation daily..

• Identify performance issues early — frequency, saturation, creative fatigue, rising CPAs — and act before budget is wasted..

Performance and profitability

• Hold every campaign to CPA guardrails by product, with defined targets and hard caps that trigger action..

• Manage to MER, ROAS, and 3-month LTV:CAC depending on the product and the channel’s role..

• Own the contribution-margin view: protect profitable revenue and cut the spend running above guardrail..

Creative partnership and testing

• Maintain a continuous test pipeline with the creative team and the performance-creative lead..

• Run a disciplined testing cadence with defined budgets, discontinuation criteria, and scale thresholds..

• Translate in-platform results into clear creative direction, and move budget from underperforming to performing assets..

Creator commerce and cross-channel coordination

• Coordinate paid media with the Creator Commerce team and its attribution model..

• Support creator amplification, including Creator Ads Boost, Creator Connections, and partnership ads..

• Account for cross-channel spillover, including non-Amazon spend that drives Amazon and Shopify sales..

Platforms and emerging channels

• Apply platform-specific best practices to sustain delivery and scale..

• Maintain current knowledge as platforms change, and adjust the buying approach as rules and algorithms shift..

• Manage platform representative relationships (Meta and others), and evaluate betas and new ad products with a documented point of view..

• Monitor platform changes affecting tracking, targeting, and account health..

• Assess emerging platforms and distinguish real opportunity from noise..

Reporting and accountability

• Maintain accurate, trusted reporting that feeds the Marketing P&L..

• Present channel performance monthly: spend, return, what is scaling, what was cut, and why..

• Deliver analysis together with a recommendation, and escalate risks and misses early..

Process ownership

• Own and document the in-house buying process: budget cadence, testing protocol, guardrails, and reporting..

• Build the tracking that allows spend to scale without losing control of efficiency..

Minimum Qualifications

• Three or more years buying and managing paid media, in-house or agency, with direct budget ownership..

• Three or more years of hands-on Meta and Google buying, with working knowledge of TikTok Ads..

• Demonstrated experience scaling direct-to-consumer e-commerce spend profitably against CPA, ROAS, and MER targets..

• Working command of contribution margin, CAC, LTV:CAC, and first-order unit economics..

• Demonstrated testing discipline and timely decisions on whether to cut, optimize, or scale..

• Effective written and verbal communication, including the ability to give creative direction grounded in performance data..

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in supplements, CPG, health and wellness, or another regulated consumer product category..

• Experience launching newer channels (Reddit, Pinterest, X) from an initial build..

• Familiarity with subscription and retention economics..

• Experience with creator, affiliate, or influencer programs and their attribution models..

• Experience standing up an in-house buying function previously run by an agency..
