About the Role

As a Web & Operations Project Manager at Motive, you will help drive the execution of high-impact marketing initiatives by bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to cross-functional technical work. You will own project plans for programs and lead key components of larger web, ops, and search initiatives, ensuring stakeholders stay aligned on scope, timelines, dependencies, and delivery expectations.

In this role, you will work across these core technical marketing functions and adjacent teams to keep priorities moving, surface risks early, and improve how marketing work gets done. The right candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, and able to balance executional rigor with flexibility when technical requirements or priorities evolve.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage project plans for technical marketing initiatives across Web, Marketing Ops, and SEO, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, and clear ownership across stakeholders.
  • Drive day-to-day execution of web development sprints, SEO optimization rollouts, web launches, and marketing automation or operational projects to help ensure work is delivered on time and with high quality.
  • Identify project risks, technical blockers, and gaps in process early, and proactively drive resolution with developers, ops specialists, and content partners.
  • Communicate project status, timelines, decisions, and action items clearly so cross-functional technical and marketing teams have the context needed to move work forward.
  • Improve Agile/Scrum project management workflows, documentation, and team coordination practices to support more efficient technical marketing execution over time.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in technical project management, program management, marketing operations, SEO campaign execution, web development management, or a similar cross-functional role.
  • Experience managing multiple technical marketing projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and evolving requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management tools including Asana, Jira, Google Workspace, and spreadsheet-based tracking and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional technical stakeholders, maintain accountability, and keep projects moving through ambiguity.
  • Background in managing high-level cross-functional web development projects, marketing automation platform updates, and SEO technical/content launches.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Role Expectations

  • 2+ years of experience working in a marketing operations, web project management, or technical SEO project manager role at a B2B company.
  • Proficient with Asana, Jira, or similar project management tools, as well as Google suite, Figma, CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Contentful), Marketing Automation Platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot), and digital asset/SEO tools.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, sprints, kanban boards, and general technical project management functions.
  • Takes ownership of the production and execution of technical strategies defined by project drivers.
  • Works within team OKRs and resource plans, influencing outcomes through high-quality project management and collaboration across Web, Ops, and SEO disciplines.
  • Understands technical user needs and applies that understanding to digital campaign execution and delivery.
  • Communicates effectively to facilitate technical decision-making, remove blockers for developers and ops specialists, and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Proactively identifies operational inefficiencies, technical debt risks, or execution bottlenecks and drives solutions to completion.

Creating a diverse and inclusive workplace is one of Motive's core values. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives.
