Position Overview
As we expand our presence across Europe, this high-impact role offers a unique opportunity to join our commercial team. You will drive the development and execution of go-to-market strategies, craft compelling campaigns that showcase our cutting-edge technology, and build robust connections with leading researchers and partners who are advancing cancer treatment.
The European Marketing Programs Manager will lead go-to-market strategy and execution across Europe, working closely with product, commercial, and global marketing teams to deliver impactful marketing programs. This role drives market development, builds collaborations in various applications areas including hematology, cell and gene therapy, epigenetics, and more, and develops regional programs to support business objectives — while serving as the connective tissue between European field activity and a California-based headquarters.
The ideal candidate brings life sciences expertise, with knowledge of cancer genomics and technologies such as NGS and single-cell multi-omics. They are a highly collaborative, organized operator who thrives on coordinating logistics across multiple countries and time zones, and who has a strong track record in integrated campaigns, biotech/pharma engagement, and translating complex science into compelling value. This role requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution across multiple channels.
This position will report to the Director, Product Marketing.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work closely with product management and commercial teams to execute Mission Bio's global go-to-market strategy with a regional focus in Europe, including channel, positioning and messaging, promotion, and other programs to achieve business objectives
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regional logistics, including planning and coordinating local conferences, seminars, and field events across multiple European markets.
- Plan and execute marketing activities, and maintain detailed understanding of customer needs, competitive situation and technology developments.
- Help establish and maintain successful relationships with key European customers and partners to ensure successful early adoption of new products.
- Support the field organization to ensure accomplishment of the revenue plan and deep technical understanding of the technology and relevant applications.
- Interact with varying levels of internal and external personnel including direct customer communication, public presentation, and a team-focused approach.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders based globally, requiring flexibility to attend meetings outside typical regional working hours to accommodate time zone overlap.
- Plan, organize, and support field events and tradeshows as needed, managing multiple moving logistical pieces simultaneously.

Essential Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Advanced degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related scientific discipline is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in marketing, market development, in life sciences or related industries, with a preference for backgrounds in single-cell genomics and next-generation sequencing.
- Proven track record of marketing products successfully to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
- Deep understanding of core marketing principles, including the 4Ps, segmentation, messaging, value propositions, channels-to-market, content strategy, marketing communication mix, and mapping customer journeys.
- Experience building integrated marketing campaigns and designing comprehensive marketing plans aligned with industry standard practices.
- Strong business acumen coupled with an excellent customer focus and extensive customer-facing experience.
- Outstanding organizational capability with a demonstrated history of managing intricate event logistics and multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, presentation, project management, and time management skills.
- Highly collaborative mindset with a proven ability to unite cross-functional, global teams across different cultural contexts and time zones.
Physical Demands:
- Travel: Expect to travel approximately 50% of the time across European markets to attend regional field events.
- Event Logistics & Setup: On-site event coordination often involves physical setup and teardown of event booths or seminar materials, managing shipments/logistics, and standing or walking for extended periods during trade shows and conferences.
- Computer & Desk Work: Outside of travel and events, day-to-day duties involve typical office/remote computer work—planning go-to-market strategies, executing digital integrated campaigns, managing project workflows, and conducting virtual meetings.
Work Environment:
- European Remote / Field-Based: The role is based in Europe and serves as the primary regional connective tissue between European market activity and the company’s headquarters in California.
- Cross-Time-Zone & Flexible Schedule: Because you will collaborate closely with global teams and a California-based headquarters, the job requires working across multiple time zones, including taking occasional evening meetings outside standard European business hours.
- High-Touch Life Sciences & Biotech Setting: You will routinely interact with external stakeholders across the biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic research sectors—including researchers and commercial partners in areas like hematology, cell and gene therapy, and epigenetics.
- Fast-Paced & Event-Driven: A significant portion of the role involves coordinating and attending regional events, tradeshows, seminars, and field marketing campaigns across multiple European countries.

What can Mission Bio offer you?
The salary range is between $100,000 - $110,000 USD/annual depending on experience.
