Our client in the US helps service businesses win more customers. They run the entire marketing funnel for them, paid acquisition, SEO and content, email and CRM automation, and organic social, and we back it with a promise most agencies avoid: leads in 60 days, or the client does not pay.

They are hiring a Marketing Manager to own all of our marketing and run it hands-on, first internally, then across the client accounts they manage.

They are small and growing, and that is the opportunity here. You would own the marketing outright and build it the way you think it should be built. You work directly with the founder, who wants a real point of view and someone who will push back when the numbers say he is wrong. You prove the model on our own pipeline first, then bring what works to the clients, and as the agency grows, this seat grows with it.

The priority order

You grow the company first, then you raise the standard across the client accounts they run. They cannot sell lead generation from a company that does not generate its own leads, so the internal pipeline comes first. Once it is producing consistently, you bring the same standard to the clients.

You are not walking into a blank page. You inherit real traffic, search rankings, and assets already in place. The first job is turning that traffic into booked calls, because the visitors are showing up and the conversions have not caught up yet.

Most of this job is hands-on. Plan to spend roughly 70 percent of your week in the ad account, the CRM, and the content calendar, and the other 30 percent directing four remote specialists. If you have spent the last few years approving other people's work, this one will frustrate you.

What you'll own

1.  Growing the company

  • Own the pipeline end to end. Set the lead target with the founder, then build and run everything that hits it: search, social, outbound, and paid where it earns its place.
  • Own the website. You control the messaging, the offer, the landing pages, and the proof (case studies, results, testimonials) that makes our promise credible to a skeptical buyer: leads in 60 days, or the client does not pay.
  • Make it measurable. Own source-to-close attribution, cost per booked call, and lead-to-client conversion. A channel we cannot measure does not get budget.

2.  Delivering for clients

  • Set the standard for every account. Define what a campaign looks like across SEO, social, email, and paid, then hold the team to it.
  • Build the playbooks. Turn what works into repeatable systems: onboarding, content frameworks, nurture sequences, reporting templates. Starting from scratch on every client is what slows an agency down.
  • Protect the guarantee. Spot at-risk accounts early, find out why, and step in before month two turns into a refund.
  • Stay credible with clients. Present results and explain your strategy in plain language.

How you'll be measured

Two numbers, and you will always know exactly where you stand on both.

  • Qualified meetings booked. Real buyers on the calendar.
  • Clients retained. The accounts that stay and renew.

The team you'll lead

Four remote specialists covering engagement, content, web development, and automations. They are good at their crafts. What they need from you is clear priorities and an honest read on whether the work is producing results.

  • Set the weekly priorities, and make the call when everything feels urgent at once.
  • Judge the work by what it produces.
  • Run the cadence that keeps a remote team aligned: a real weekly meeting, decisions in writing, and no surprises at month-end.
  • Develop them, so the team can carry accounts without you on every one.

Requirements

What you must bring

We run the full funnel, so you need genuine depth in all four channels below. In your application, tell us specifically what you have built in each one.

  • Paid acquisition, Meta and Google. Campaigns you personally built and scaled, with CPL or ROAS numbers you can speak to, and structured testing on creative, audience, and offer.
  • SEO and content. Technical and local SEO, keyword-to-intent mapping that produces content people actually search for, and an authority strategy that never puts a client site at risk.
  • Email and CRM automation. Nurture, onboarding, and reactivation sequences that moved a real number, hands-on CRM work, and the deliverability fundamentals to fix sender reputation when it slips.
  • Organic social. A content calendar tied to offers and lead capture, an audience you grew that converted, and a consistent brand voice across every account.

The baseline

  • 5 or more years in marketing, with at least 1 in an agency or multi-client environment.
  • Direct experience managing people, including remote team members.
  • You build your own reports, you know your numbers cold, and you say so when a channel is underperforming.

You'll thrive here if

  • You would rather own a number than manage a headcount.
  • You are comfortable being measured on booked meetings and retained clients.
  • You have strong opinions and you back them with data, even when they cut against what the founder wants to hear.
  • You would rather build the system than run yesterday's version of it.

Skip this role if

  • You need a large team beneath you to feel effective.
  • You prefer strategy decks to doing the work.
  • You go quiet when you disagree with the person in charge.
  • You are hoping for one channel you can quietly avoid.

I was the first applicant for a remote marketing position that got listed on the company website the same day I applied. Had an interview within 48 hours!
