AI Summary

The Marketing Manager will develop and execute strategic marketing programs to drive growth across France, Benelux, and EMEA. They will lead local campaigns, manage agency partnerships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver locally relevant marketing plans.

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

The Difference You will Make:

The Marketing Manager, France, Benelux & EMEA  will report to the Senior Marketing Lead, France & Benelux. They will support them to develop strategic plans and execute, implement, and track marketing programs to drive profitable growth for the region. They will also act as a thought partner, sounding board, and consultant to the Regional Marketing Director, EMEA regarding the regional business, marketing planning, and operations by tapping into their deep understanding of the business, consumer and market.

With strategic, creative, operational and emotional effectiveness, this person will define business challenges and strategies to drive growth, nurture a high-performing in-house marketing team, manage agency partners, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including regional business leadership, PR, media, product, performance marketing and customer experience, to deliver actionable, locally relevant, growth-oriented marketing plans that realize the business and brand ambitions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of the French and Benelux consumer, the competitive set and the local travel landscape. Interpret research, and bring those insights to bear on local plans and global strategy.

  • Develop growth plans for current and prospective guests and hosts in each market, addressing the distinct demand and supply priorities of the region. Collaborate across functions to build an integrated roadmap that delivers on the strategy.

  • Local programs leadership: Identify and lead local campaign opportunities and execution in France for seasonal moments as well as other relevant France-led campaigns and partnerships.

  • Collaborate with local teams (Communications, Public Affairs, Legal…) to create integrated marketing tactics: develop message briefs and timelines for campaigns, ensure coordinated approvals.

  • Partner with the Airbnb global campaign team and internal creative to localize global campaigns for France and Benelux. Collaborate with Copywriters and Localization Managers on both host and guest initiatives, while articulating regional market nuances to cross-functional teams.

  • Shape the local channel mix across TV/BVOD, out-of-home, digital, social and audio in collaboration with the media team. Partner with the media agency on planning, negotiation and in-flight optimisation, and lead audio execution end to end, including podcast and radio selection, creative feedback and reporting.

  • Partner with external agencies, ensuring optimal resourcing, timely briefings, contracts, payments and a deep understanding of the brand and business opportunities, challenges and plan.

  • In partnership with other marketing stakeholders, develop and deliver the EMEA marketing strategy, balancing alignment with global strategy and regional opportunities.

  • Monitor and oversee key growth projects jointly with the Growth Marketing team, including display ads, SEM, emailing campaigns, and affiliate partnerships to define and implement optimal strategies.

  • Define success metrics for the region and own performance reporting: set campaign KPIs, track brand health, run post-campaign analysis with the analytics and insights teams, and translate results into recommendations for the next planning cycle.

  • Experience working across France, Benelux and ideally other EMEA markets
