MARKETING MANAGER DE

10 years… This year, we are celebrating 10 years of OKTAGON. Ten years during which we grew from a local sports organization into an international brand. We expanded into new countries, locked in major partnerships, and built a product followed by millions of fans across Europe. We sell out the biggest arenas, cooperate with top partners, and constantly look for new ways to push the fan experience to the next level.

And right now, we are facing next MASSIVE challenges a huge event in Frankfurt and a packed Q4 full of back-to-back tournaments. Our German rocket ship is flying high, and we need reinforcement.

We are looking for a MARKETING MANAGER (Campaigns & Events) for the German market. Someone to jump on board and take ownership of marketing campaigns, brand activations, and event marketing in Germany.

We are not just looking for a "coordinator." We are looking for an independent, driven A-Player who can bring creative ideas, deadlines, people, and tournament madness together to make our German campaigns run at 100%.

Tasks

• Full management of marketing campaigns - from planning and creative briefs to channel oversight
• Planning and execution of micro-events and brand activations (media days, fan events, trade fairs like FIBO)
• On-site event marketing directly at our live tournaments (coordinating deliverables, show planning, guest management)
• CRM and newsletter marketing (content creation in German, ticket sale launch coordination, and lead-gen campaigns)

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of relevant experience in marketing, events, or project management (an agency background is a huge plus)
• A passion for sports, ideally a professional background in sports, or at least a strong personal interest in combat sports and MMA
• Exceptional organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple projects/events at the same time
• Flexibility, because tournament weekends and traveling to live events are a natural part of the job
• Native/fluent German and business-fluent English
• Based in the Munich region (or flexible): Being located in or near Munich is a huge plus for occasional in-person syncs with Patrick and the team. However, this is a genuine 100% remote role from anywhere in Germany. So if you are the right fit, we care more about your talent than your exact zip code!
