The Payroll Manager is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of U.S. and Canadian payroll operations, including regular and off-cycle payrolls. This role owns the day-to-day processing, review, reconciliation, and operational oversight of payroll, ensuring a consistent and reliable employee pay experience. Also, this position is remote with strong preference for Illinois/Chicago based candidates.
This role is expected to continuously strengthen payroll operations through effective controls, proactive auditing, process efficiency, and analytics, with the goal of making payroll predictable, scalable, and audit ready. The role partners closely with the Director of Payroll, HRIS, Finance, and external vendors to execute payroll within established policies and system configurations.
In addition to core payroll processing responsibilities, the Payroll Manager is expected to be the subject matter expert for day-to-day payroll tax operations across multi state, local and Canadian payroll.
