About the Opportunity

The MDM Engineering Manager leads the engineering, delivery, and operational excellence of the enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) platform. This role is responsible for the technology roadmap, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of MDM capabilities that provide trusted master data across the enterprise. This leader will continuously evaluate emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to improve data quality, accelerate engineering delivery, automate MDM processes, and expand the capabilities of the enterprise MDM platform, enabling trusted enterprise data for analytics, reporting, operational systems, and AI-driven business initiatives.

Working closely with the Solutions Architect, Data Governance Lead, Data Engineering teams, and business stakeholders, this leader is responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and reliable MDM solutions while leading a high-performing engineering team. The role ensures architectural designs are successfully implemented and that the MDM platform evolves to support current and future master data domains.

What You'll Get to Do

Platform Ownership

  • Own the technology roadmap, engineering backlog, and operational health of the enterprise MDM platform, balancing strategic initiatives, production support, platform lifecycle management, upgrades, technical debt, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead platform lifecycle management, including upgrades, technical debt reduction, and adoption of new capabilities.
  • Evaluate and recommend new platform capabilities and technologies that improve scalability, automation, and user experience.
  • Evaluate, pilot, and implement AI-enabled capabilities that improve engineering productivity, data quality, identity resolution, match/merge accuracy, operational automation, and overall MDM capabilities.
  • Monitor platform health, availability, performance, and service levels, driving proactive improvements to ensure a reliable and scalable MDM platform.
  • Stay current on vendor product roadmaps and emerging platform capabilities, recommending and adopting new features that improve engineering efficiency, automation, AI capabilities, and business value.

Engineering Delivery

  • Lead implementation of MDM capabilities, APIs, integrations, workflows, and platform enhancements based on enterprise architecture and solution designs.
  • Deliver enhancements, production fixes, and new functionality using Agile delivery practices.
  • Own release planning, deployment coordination, and production readiness.
  • Ensure engineering best practices, code quality, testing, and documentation.

Engineering Leadership

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a geographically distributed team of MDM engineers and technical analysts, fostering collaboration, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish engineering standards and operational excellence.
  • Manage hiring, performance management, succession planning, and career development.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

Skills and Experience We Value

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise Master Data Management, with hands-on experience in Informatica IDMC or a comparable enterprise MDM platform, such as Reltio, Profisee, or Ataccama, and related integration technologies such as APIs, ETL/ELT, or cloud data platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience leading technical teams or mentoring engineers.
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile delivery methodologies such as SAFe or Scrum.
  • Experience supporting and operating enterprise production platforms, including release management, incident response, and continuous operational improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL for data analysis, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and supporting enterprise data solutions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate projects effectively.
  • Curiosity and demonstrated experience exploring emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development and intelligent automation, to improve engineering and data management processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate across various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC or comparable enterprise MDM platforms.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development and intelligent automation to improve engineering and data management processes.
  • Experience leading and developing geographically distributed technical teams.
