Manager, Americas Payroll

About the role:

As a Manager, Americas Payroll you will lead end-to-end payroll operations for employees across the United States, Canada, and other supported countries in the Americas. You will be accountable for accurate and compliant payroll delivery; governance and controls; team leadership; vendor performance; and continuous improvement. You will strengthen operational resilience, data integrity, and the payroll experience of our employees. You will report to the Director, Global Payroll and work remote. 100% Remote Role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead payroll delivery across the Americas.

• Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, labor, reporting, and record-retention requirements.

• Oversee payroll tax filings, year-end reporting, audits, and agency notices.

• Maintain payroll controls, reconciliations, approvals, access reviews, and issue resolution.

• Manage payroll vendors, service providers, and banking relationships.

• Resolve payroll, tax, deductions, garnishments, payment, and compliance issues.

• Reconcile payroll results to source data, tax liabilities, bank activity, and financial records.

• Lead, and develop the Americas payroll team.

• Establish succession plans, cross-training, and business continuity processes.

• Drive automation, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.

• Monitor payroll risks and implement mitigation plans.

• Report payroll KPIs, including accuracy, adjustments, tax notices, and vendor performance.

• Represent Payroll in M&A activity, system implementations, organizational changes, and expansion projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• 8+ years of payroll experience, including 3+ years of leadership experience.

• Knowledge of U.S. payroll tax and labor regulations; familiarity with Canadian payroll requirements.

• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, SAP, or Oracle.

• Experience managing audits, reconciliations, escalations, and process improvements.

• CPP, PCP, or other payroll certification preferred.

• Experience supporting large, multi-state and multi-country populations preferred.

• Global payroll, payroll transformation, M&A, shared services, or system implementation experience preferred.

   

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $112,400 to $140,500 per year.
