Journeyman Manager

Chippewa Government Solutions LLC, a Sault Tribe Inc. (“STI Federal”) company, is searching for a dynamic and skilled Journeyman Manager to be a key part of our expanding team!

What You’ll Do…

Key Responsibilities & Expected Outcomes

  • Lead assigned contract projects and oversee teams of personnel located at multiple sites.
  • Exercise authority to identify, allocate, and commit the resources required to support TA requests effectively and efficiently.
  • Enforce quality control programs to ensure TA provided meets DOE, CMEI, and federal advisory and assistance service requirements.
  • Manage multiple tasks concurrently, ensuring timely execution and alignment with contract objectives, PWS requirements, and DOE regulations.
  • Coordinate with DOE program offices, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of TA across diverse recipient groups.
  • Maintain transparency, compliance, and high performance across all project and personnel activities.
  • Report status, challenges, and outcomes to senior leadership and government counterparts with clarity and precision.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities for Success

  • Strong leadership and team oversight capabilities, including experience guiding personnel across multiple locations.
  • Demonstrated resource management skills with the ability to allocate staffing, tools, and support appropriately.
  • Skilled in managing complex, multitask environments and coordinating subcontractor efforts.
  • Effective communicator with strong writing and publicfacing communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with DOE systems (STRIPES, FAST, PAGE, PMC).
  • Salesforce platform expertiseasrequired.
  • Alignment with STI Federal’s core values, promoting professionalism, collaboration, and a positive team culture.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Education: BA/BS or MA/MS degree.
  • Experience:
  • 3 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Independently performs managerial duties consistent with journeyman-level expectations.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and/ormaintaina federal clearance up to Top Secret/DOE Q clearance levels.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience: 
  • Experience managing federal technical assistance programs, preferably within DOE or other applied energy agencies.
  • Familiarity with IIJA-funded programs and TA delivery across states, Tribes, local governments, and institutions.
  • Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams supporting energy innovation, critical minerals, manufacturing workflows, or standards and codes program areas.
  • Knowledge of DOE systems, reporting structures, compliance requirements, and crossoffice coordination.
  • Experience integrating quality control programs into federal TA workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex multi-year projects with transparency, accuracy, and consistency.

Work Environment 

  • Environment: Workwill be performed in a climate-controlled office, remotely or possibly on client sites as needed.
