Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with deep managed care and Epic Tapestry expertise to lead and coordinate the planning, build, testing, and go-live of Tapestry and related payer initiatives. This role partners with operational, clinical, technical, and vendor teams to drive project delivery on time and within scope, manage risk, and ensure successful adoption of managed care workflows across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management for Epic Tapestry and managed care initiatives, including scope definition, project planning, timelines, budget tracking, and status reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across configuration, claims, benefits, enrollment/eligibility, utilization management, and technical integration workstreams.
  • Manage project milestones, dependencies, risks, and escalations, driving issues to resolution and keeping stakeholders aligned.
  • Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions, workgroups, and steering committees, providing regular project status updates to leadership.
  • Oversee build, testing, validation, and go-live readiness activities, supporting command center operations and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Partner with payer operations and technical teams on claims processing, authorization/referral, and member management workflows.
  • Ensure clear communication of successes, risks, and issues to key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field, required
  • Advanced degree, preferred

Experience:

  • Proven project management experience leading healthcare IT implementations, required
  • Hands-on experience with Epic Tapestry and managed care / payer-side operations (claims, contracts, benefits, enrollment/eligibility, utilization management), required
  • Experience managing full-cycle Epic implementations and go-lives, preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of managed care workflows and payer operations, required
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, risk mitigation, and organizational skills, required
  • Experience with Agile and traditional project management methodologies, preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional), preferred
  • Epic Tapestry certification(s), preferred

Working Conditions

  • Work from home with travel as identified by business or client needs. All remote employees are expected to have a consistent, reliable internet connection.
  • While onsite with a client: work indoors in offices, hospitals, and other health care facilities; work near others in the same office space; sit at a desk or stand/walk for periods up to the full duration of a shift; wear appropriate PPE when visiting medical facilities; travel between facilities as needed.
