Who We Are
At UE Systems we believe that every person, regardless of their industry, company size, experience, or budget, should have the tools and support to help their facilities operate more efficiently, reliably, and safely. We do this by providing a portfolio of ultrasound solutions designed to be versatile and simple to use.

Since 1973, we have helped thousands of customers across the world prevent equipment failures, identify energy losses, and return home safe to their families. We are continuing to grow as we build a more disciplined, globally connected operating system to support our customers and our next stage of growth.

About the Role
We are seeking a technically sharp, customer-obsessed Machine Health Specialist to serve as the primary post-installation technical owner of the deployed OnTrak solution.

This role is ideal for a reliability or condition-monitoring professional who thrives on interpreting complex data, building trusted relationships with plant-floor and engineering stakeholders, and turning technical findings into measurable, sustained reliability outcomes.

As the Machine Health Specialist, you will become your assigned customers' trusted point of contact after installation, interpreting lubrication, ultrasound, vibration, and operating data in UE Insights, maintaining the technical health of their condition-based lubrication program, and ensuring findings translate into timely maintenance action. OnTrak's value isn't proven at installation; it's proven every week after, and you are the connection between the technology and that outcome.

Our People
They Own Their Day:
We do not micro-manage. Our team understands the outcome, makes disciplined decisions, and communicates early when priorities, risks, or constraints change.

They Believe in a Team Approach: No one is expected to be a master of everything. We rely on each other, bring different strengths to the table, and build better systems together.

They Always Look Through a Customer Lens: Every process we build should make it easier to serve the customer accurately, reliably, and on time.

Your Impact

  • Be the face of the solution: Own the post-install technical relationship for assigned customers and build a trusted-advisor relationship with plant reliability, maintenance, and operations stakeholders.
  • Analyze condition data: Interpret lubrication, ultrasound, vibration, temperature, and operating data in UE Insights. Use the available detection and diagnostic variables to distinguish developing mechanical or lubrication conditions from normal operating variability and data-quality issues.
  • Maintain technical configuration: Establish and validate asset baselines, set and refine alert thresholds, and support the configuration of controllable lubrication setpoints as operating conditions change. Ensure configuration changes are technically justified and documented.
  • Safeguard autonomous lubrication: Support the appropriate configuration and review of daily and weekly grease-volume limits, bearing and grease information, and other safeguards intended to prevent overgreasing or inappropriate lubrication.
  • Manage lubrication performance: Evaluate performance across Manual, Automatic Time-Based, and Autonomous Condition-Based lubrication. Monitor Current Zone Status and Time in Optimal Lubrication Zone, investigate sustained Out of Zone conditions, ineffective lubrication responses, or unusual grease consumption, and recommend corrective action.
  • Communicate insights clearly: Translate bearing condition, lubrication state, developing faults, and system-health findings into concise, actionable recommendations that non-technical stakeholders can understand and act on.
  • Turn alerts into action: Help customers incorporate OnTrak Alerts, Alert Groups, and Work Requests into their maintenance workflow. Follow significant findings through acknowledgement, investigation, corrective action, and documented resolution.
  • Maintain technical data integrity: Validate asset and bearing information, grease type, operating speed, VFD status, sensor and lubricator assignments, and other application data required for accurate analysis and safe lubrication decisions.
  • Diagnose customer pain points: Proactively identify the technical or process factors driving downtime, missed maintenance, lubrication failures, unresolved alerts, or inconsistent program performance, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Guide program maturity: Help customers strengthen their condition-based lubrication program by recommending monitoring-practice improvements, sensor placement changes, asset coverage priorities, and appropriate use of autonomous condition-based lubrication.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally: Partner with Field Services, other Machine Health Specialists, Customer Support, and Product and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues, escalate hardware or software problems, and feed structured customer input back into the product roadmap.
  • Protect sustained customer value: Monitor the technical health of assigned customer programs, identify unresolved issues or adoption risks early, assign clear actions, and coordinate follow-through until the program is operating effectively.
  • Report on value delivered: Conduct regular customer reviews using credible operational evidence, including Time in Optimal Lubrication Zone, developing conditions corrected, unplanned downtime events avoided, labor hours saved, and improvements in lubrication practices.
Your Experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting an industrial reliability, maintenance, lubrication, or condition-monitoring program, with hands-on exposure to ultrasound inspection and/or vibration analysis.
  • Strong mechanical understanding of rotating equipment, including bearings, lubrication points, pumps, motors, fans, and gearboxes, and how condition data relates to real-world failure modes.
  • Working knowledge of bearing lubrication fundamentals, including grease selection, quantity and interval considerations, lubrication response, and the risks of under- and over-greasing.
  • Ability to interpret multiple condition indicators together and recognize when a finding requires further investigation rather than relying on a single threshold or data point.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate technical, data-heavy findings into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences.
  • A genuinely customer-facing mindset and comfort serving as the primary technical relationship owner for an assigned customer.
  • Strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to identify whether a customer issue is driven by asset condition, lubrication practice, application data, system configuration, hardware, connectivity, or workflow.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with field technicians, analysts, Customer Support, Product and Engineering teams, and account teams, each with different priorities and technical vocabulary.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10–25% for on-site customer visits, technical reviews, and program support.
Nice to Have
  • Vibration Analyst Category I/II, CMRP, ICML, or other reliability/lubrication certification.
  • Prior experience with OnTrak, UE Insights, or a comparable condition-monitoring or CMMS software platform.
  • Experience delivering customer-facing technical reviews or quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
