Reporting to the Sr. Director Org & Talent Strategy, the M&A Specialist (HR, Org Design & Talent Strategy), will be focused on culture assessment, organization design & development, and talent planning solutions. This role will also be part of M&A-HR CoE, engaged in target due diligence by conducting culture assessments, financial modelling of various HR costs, org design analysis and development that inform integration planning and mitigate people-related risk throughout the transaction lifecycle.

You'll work closely with HR Business Partners, senior business leaders, Centers of Excellence, and cross-functional teams to align organizational structures, talent pipelines and support M&A HR due diligence and integration standard work.

This position is part of the M&A HR CoE (Center of Excellence) team and will be Remote in the US with 15-30% expected travel.  

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Execute & Facilitate
    • M&A-related HR due diligence by conducting culture assessments, financial modelling of various HR costs (total rewards costs, Labor & employment costs, transition team costs etc.) and develop org design models to drive business outcomes for the transaction.
    • Org and Talent planning standard work—including org design, pipeline growth process, chess boarding, and talent calibration—ensuring consistent, high-quality talent outcomes on succession, pipeline readiness and career development.
  • Analyze organizational data, workforce trends, and talent metrics to surface insights that inform OD and talent planning decisions for senior HR and business leaders.
  • Partner with HRBPs and business stakeholders to translate org design recommendations into practical implementation plans with clear milestones and success criteria.
  • Build repeatable, scalable processes and tools for talent planning and org design that improve efficiency and adoption across the enterprise and use in M&A due diligence and integration.
  • Collaborate across HR function and others to drive seamless integration of newly acquired businesses.
  • Support change management efforts tied to organizational redesigns, ensuring associate impact and communication plans are in place and executed effectively.

The essential requirements of the job include: 

  • Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience in HR M&A due diligence on HR Costs modelling and strong financial acumen
  • Experience in organization culture assessment, org design, and headcount planning not limited to M&A context.
  • Strong analytical & project management skills with demonstrated ability to translate data and workforce metrics into clear, actionable recommendations for senior audiences
  • Experience in executing talent planning or succession processes, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and timelines simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of org design methodologies, including span of control analysis, role scoping, and structural modeling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in M&A Financial modelling
  • Experience with talent management platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) or org charting and workforce analytics tools
  • Experience supporting org design or talent planning in a publicly traded, global corporation
  • Advanced degree in Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or MBA with an HR concentration

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
