Position Overview:

We are looking for an LTL Analyst Supervisor to oversee and support all aspects of our Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) transportation operations while serving as the primary point of contact for carrier management, freight bill auditing, claims resolution, and performance reporting. This role will lead efforts to improve transportation processes, ensure billing accuracy, monitor carrier trends and pricing, and provide operational support across our warehouse network. 

Primary Duties:

  • Monitor industry trades, websites, and Federal reporting to identify changes and trends respective to FMCSA LTL providers to identify potential changes related to tariffs and pricing impacts.
  • Develop, publish, and manage procedures respective to LTL bill management, audit, and appeal – prior to accounting submission to ensure accuracy and pre-emptive rate corrections. After the fact audits are difficult and time consuming.
  • Provide a single point of contact for all LTL
    • In Transit Visibility
    • On time reporting
    • Random Bill audits to ensure common compliance between all warehouses and provide user training and feedback as required
    • Review, audit, verify, and submit all freight bills to accounting
    • Contest carrier assessorial rate changes and appeal as required to prevent uncontested overcharging from LTL providers
  • Provide a single source LTL Overage/Shortage/Damage Claims point of contact from submission through provider restitution.
  • Provide ownership with carrier performance metrics and cost spend/savings impacts as required

Secondary Duties:

  • Negotiate and standardize national LTL tariffs
  • Interview new carriers for Freightview addition

Perpetual Duty:

  • Interview, hire, train and cover for Logistic Clerks at all warehouses
  • Collaborate with AWG IT as needed to constantly refine OB processes
  • Continuously work with Sales for commonization of order submission within Dynamics
  • Police and load all drop ship OTR shipments into Dynamics in concert with sales and accounting deficiencies
  • Travel/teach as required (at least yearly to each warehouse)
