LEARNING CONSULTANT

Role Purpose 

GP Strategies is seeking a Learning Consultant to support a key client by delivering effective, scalable learning solutions. This role is ideal for a consultative professional who excels at stakeholder partnership, problem-solving, and managing learning initiatives from concept to delivery. 

The Learning Consultant will work closely with business leaders, HR partners, and external vendors to deploy high-quality, off-the-shelf learning programs that align with organizational goals and improve employee performance. 

Key Accountabilities  

  • Partner with business and HR stakeholders to assess learning needs and recommend appropriate learning solutions 
  • Provide consultative guidance on learning interventions, adult learning methodologies, and sourcing strategies 
  • Manage the full lifecycle of learning program deployment, including budgeting, contracting, scheduling, and quality assurance 
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment with business objectives and company culture 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver consistent and effective learning experiences 
  • Monitor program effectiveness, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvement 
  • Stay current on learning and development trends and apply best practices 

 

What Success Looks Like 

  • Learning needs are accurately identified and linked to business priorities. 
  • Stakeholders view you as a trusted advisor rather than only a program coordinator. 
  • Recommended solutions address root causes of performance gaps. 
  • Minimal operational issues or escalations and strong participant and stakeholder satisfaction scores. 

Candidate Profile 

Experience & Capability 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience applying learning principles and conducting learning needs analysis 
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory and learning intervention strategies 
  • Proven ability to consult with and influence stakeholders at various levels 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience working with global or cross-functional teams 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities 
  • Business and financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and contracts 

 Technical Strength 

  • Learning needs analysis, performance consulting, adult learning methodologies 
  • Vendor and budget management, learning analytics, quality assurance, continuous improvement 
  • LMS/LXP technologies, MS Office 365
