That’s changing now. Overview’s edge-enabled AI vision devices handle assembly verification, defect detection, and orientation checks with accuracy that wasn’t possible before. They integrate into existing production lines at speed, and customers see results on day one: higher yield, lower scrap, fewer escapes, faster throughput. This technology is new.

The old rules don’t apply. The people who help define how this gets built and deployed will shape the next decade of manufacturing.

About the Role

This is a foundational role with a clear path toward expanded ownership and people leadership. This role sits at the intersection of technical depth, customer relationships, and market-building impact. We’re expanding Overview’s presence in Mexico and are looking for someone who can both execute in the field today and grow into a leadership role as the region scales.

This is a field-first role based in Mexico, with priority locations in Queretaro. You’ll spend 60–80% of your time on factory floors across Central - Bajío regions in Mexico, supporting early customers, identifying high-impact use cases, and ensuring successful production deployments.

You’ll operate with high autonomy—no scripts, no hand-holding. You’ll be trusted to ask the right questions, make technical and commercial judgment calls in messy environments, and move projects forward when information is incomplete. With support from Overview engineers, you’ll become the technical expert customers rely on. As the Mexico team grows, this role is expected to take on mentorship and people leadership responsibilities, helping onboard and develop future VSEs in the region.

What You’ll Do

  • Help establish Overview’s go-to-market motion in Mexico, including early wins and reference accountsOwn customer success end-to-end: from first conversation through production deployment Lead technical discovery, live demos, onsite evaluations, and troubleshooting on factory floors

  • Identify and drive high-impact inspection opportunities toward scaled deployments

  • Provide feedback from the field to influence product and deployment strategy

  • Support the onboarding and development of future team members as the region grows

Who You Are

  • You’ve proven you can operate at a high level in demanding environments (3+ years preferred)

  • You’re comfortable on factory floors, under pressure, and with ambiguity

  • You see 60–80% travel as an opportunity to build expertise and strong customer relationships

  • You’re motivated by growth, both your own and the team’s, and want to help build something from an early stage

  • You likely come from a customer-facing technical role or another high-intensity environment and are known for getting things done and bringing others along

  • You bring an engineering mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trust across operators, engineers, and leadership.

  • Not a fit if: you’re looking for heavy structure, minimal travel, or 9–5 stability.

  • No need for: prior manufacturing experience, machine vision expertise, or a perfect resume.

  • Must have: proof you can learn fast, operate independently, earn trust in high-stakes situations, and take ownership beyond yourself.
