AI Summary

Lead the development and growth of a multi-segment credit card portfolio, owning the product strategy, P&L, and end-to-end customer experience. Collaborate with risk and engineering teams to design pricing models, product ladders, and technical roadmaps to drive profitability and usage.

At NOVACARD, we’re redefining how people use credit. We are the first interest-free and no-annual-fee credit card in Mexico, designed to simplify personal finances and give users complete control - all from a mobile app. With NOVACARD, users can access up to $200,000 MXN in credit, only pay when they use it, and manage everything digitally in under 5 minutes. Our mission is to empower people to make smarter financial decisions by offering flexibility, transparency, and the freedom they need to reach their goals. Simple finances, big goals.

About the Role:
We are looking for a strong Lead Product Manager to lead the development and growth of our credit card portfolio across multiple risk and customer segments. You will own the product strategy, P&L, end-to-end customer experience, and technical roadmap for products including Credit Builder, fixed-fee and progressive-fee cards, and grace-period and non-grace-period offerings. You will design the product ladder that enables customers to upgrade based on their payment behavior and risk profile. This is a role for someone who can simultaneously manage product strategy, customer experience, unit economics, risk, and technical delivery — not a coordinator of isolated tasks, but a product owner who defines what we build and why, proves the business case, prioritizes ruthlessly, and delivers measurable results. The role implies close collaboration with the local team in Mexico and international headquarters. Relocation support to Mexico or Serbia is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Portfolio Design: Define and evolve a multi-segment credit card lineup: Credit Builder, fixed-fee, progressive-fee, grace-period and non-grace-period products. Build a clear product ladder with transparent rules for customer migration between cards and tiers based on payment behavior, risk, and card usage.

  • Pricing & Fee Model Development: Design and refine pricing mechanics including fixed fees, progressive fees, interest-based pricing, grace periods, minimum payments, cash withdrawal fees, and transfer fees. Ensure the tariff structure balances customer appeal with portfolio profitability.

  • P&L Ownership & Unit Economics: Take full responsibility for product profitability. Model and optimize the funnel from acquisition and onboarding through utilization, average debt, ARPU, risk cost, funding cost, fee income, and operating expenses.

  • Risk & Portfolio Collaboration: Partner with Risk teams on customer segmentation, credit limits, approval strategy, risk-based pricing, vintage analysis, and migration rules between products. Ensure product mechanics drive the right customer behavior without compromising portfolio quality.

  • Lifecycle & Customer Experience Management: Own the full customer journey from acquisition and onboarding to activation, regular usage, limit increases, retention, and cross-sell. Deliver a seamless, digital-first experience at every stage.

  • Growth & Killer Features: Analyze customer data, competitor offerings, and global best practices to identify features that can materially shift conversion, usage, profitability, or retention — not just expand the backlog.

  • Roadmap Prioritization: Build and defend the product roadmap based on financial impact, customer value, risk, technical complexity, and team capacity. Make hard trade-offs and communicate the rationale clearly.

  • Metrics & Experimentation: Establish product KPIs, formulate hypotheses, design A/B tests and pilots, analyze results, and make data-driven scale-or-kill decisions.

  • Technical Leadership: Understand the credit product architecture — billing, fee and interest calculation, card processing, payment cycles, account statuses, and third-party integrations — to effectively collaborate with engineering teams.

  • End-to-End Launch Management: Develop business requirements, CJMs, tariff structures, legal documentation, operational processes, and system logic; drive products from concept to live delivery.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work daily with IT, Risk, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Legal, and HQ stakeholders. Prepare and defend product decisions in front of leadership and shareholders.

  • Team & Process Development: Set tasks for analysts, designers, and developers; ensure delivery quality; and build a transparent product management process.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong experience in managing credit cards, credit lines, or other unsecured consumer lending products end-to-end — from strategy and financial modeling to launch, scaling, and portfolio management.

  • Ability to independently build and defend a credit product’s financial model, identify key profitability drivers, and find ways to improve unit economics.

  • Solid understanding of credit risk, segmentation, approval strategy, credit limits, vintage analysis, and how product mechanics influence customer payment behavior.

  • Technical fluency to collaborate with IT on business and system logic: billing, processing, fee calculations, payment cycles, integrations, and product status management.

  • Strong data skills: work confidently with funnels, cohorts, and experiments; distinguish causation from correlation and make decisions based on metrics.

  • Proven prioritization discipline: ability to select a few highest-impact initiatives, say no to weak ideas, and protect the roadmap.

  • Clear communication: able to explain complex product and financial mechanics to leadership, risk, IT, and other stakeholders concisely.

  • Fluent Russian — mandatory. English at upper-intermediate level or higher (spoken and written) — required. Spanish is a plus but not required.

What We Offer

  • Remote or hybrid work format — specific location and arrangement discussed individually with the right candidate.

  • Relocation support to Mexico or Serbia for candidates who are a strong fit.

  • Official employment or contractor arrangement depending on location and local regulations.

  • The opportunity to own and shape a complete credit card portfolio in a high-impact, expanding market.

  • A data-driven, entrepreneurial environment where product decisions translate directly into business results and customer growth.

  • Cross-functional collaboration with local and international teams, with direct exposure to HQ leadership.
