Lead the execution of multimedia AI labeling programs by managing a team of annotators and maintaining the client relationship. Responsible for driving end-to-end quality, delivery, and systemic fixes for quality failures.
OVERVIEW
This is a rare opportunity to lead delivery on a program with one of the world's most recognized technology companies, doing work that directly shapes the future of AI. You'll own the day-to-day execution of multimedia AI labeling programs — managing a team, holding the client relationship, and driving quality and delivery end-to-end. The work is fast-moving and technically interesting. We're looking for someone who thrives on ownership.
This is a hands-on execution role: you'll solve problems directly, communicate proactively, and close action items yourself rather than routing them through others. If you're energized by being the person who makes things happen this is your role. This is a US based client who values direct communication, early escalation of risks, and a bias toward action. The best candidates for this role will already do that naturally.

Main duties
People Management
- Directly manage a team of multimodal annotators and reviewers: set expectations, coach performance, conduct 1:1s, and make staffing decisions.
- Lead onboarding and structured ramp plans for new hires; own assessments and ongoing development.
- Hold the team accountable to throughput, error rates, and rework targets — and take corrective action when targets are missed.
Client & Stakeholder Ownership
- Own the client relationship day-to-day: prepare agendas, run calls, and send notes with clearly assigned action items after every engagement.
- Communicate proactively — surface risks, blockers, and issues before clients ask, with context and a proposed path forward.
- Follow action items to closure.
Program Execution
- Manage scope, timelines, and dependencies across active workstreams simultaneously.
- Maintain a live risk register and drive mitigations with clear ownership and deadlines.
- Conduct RCCAs for quality failures and delivery misses; implement fixes systemically.
- Track budget utilization and cost-per-unit metrics; flag spend variances to leadership.
Quality & Data Workflows
- Design and run quality workflows: sampling plans, second-pass review, audits, and inter-annotator agreement checks.
- Own calibration and consistency across the team; identify variance patterns and run structured refreshers.
- Review and maintain annotation guidelines; document edge cases and push updates as workflows evolve.
- Identify friction in annotation tooling and UI; contribute to design requirements and work directly with tooling teams to improve workflows.
Reporting
- Deliver clear, honest reporting on delivery status, quality metrics, risks, and team health to clients and internal leadership.
What We're Looking For

- Strong written and verbal English proficiency
- Comfortable delivering direct, honest updates even when the news is hard
- Prior people management experience with annotation, data operations, or similar teams
- Additional language proficiency preferred
- Ability to meet during US business hours
