Schedule & Location:

  • Employment Type: Full-time, exempt (salaried), Remote within the US with periodic travel to headquarters in Rhode Island required.

Job Summary 

The Lead Business Analyst is responsible for the collection, evaluation, understanding, and communication of business requirements involved in the development of new or the modification and ongoing support for global technology experiences.  


This person will provide guidance and direction to other teams, help gather and report out key metrics and may manage projects of significant scope and complexity. In addition, this role will be responsible for developing change management and communication materials to drive education and adoption globally.  


As a Lead Business Analyst at FM you will...  

  • Participates in system requirements definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of enterprise-wide technology products and services.  
  • Lead and solicit business requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing system documentation or procedures. Uses industry standard analysis techniques to uncover business requirements, such as data flow modeling, use-case analysis, and workflow analysis. 
  • Makes recommendations and influence outcome regarding necessary changes on deliverables expected from other groups. 
  • Develops and leads a change management plan leveraging Prosci certified change management methods and executes tasks in that plan to help communicate clearly and effectively.  
  • Assumes the project manager's responsibility for projects where the scope is significant and complex. These projects could be new initiatives or modifications to an existing application. 

Qualifications

6+ years of general business analysis experience, with 2+ years' experience in project management. 


Related work experience with an understanding of marketing technology improvements and Prosci change management practices.  


Experience with UX design and research design a plus!  


Technical Knowledge  

  • Expert knowledge of techniques and tools utilized in experience design, data analysis, and business process flow diagramming. 
  • Experience gathering requirements, functional design, and working with business processes. 
  • Proven experience with managing projects of significant scope and complexity with project teams consisting of 5+individuals. 
  • Knowledge of FM’s current/planned technology environment and the appropriate tools and techniques to solve business problems. 
  • Knowledge and experience with technology in a large corporate environment. 
  • Knowledge of IT governance and regulatory needs and their impact on business operations. 
  • Proven experience drafting marketing and communication materials 

Soft Skills 

  • Proven ability to multi-task and establish priorities. 
  • Motivated to stay abreast of industry techniques and tools in business analysis. 
  • Demonstrable experience presenting information to and soliciting feedback from small and medium-sized groups. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication and organizational skills 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to gather appropriate data and need to diagnose the cause of a problem or to develop a solution. 
  • Self-motivation to know the latest in the usage of technologies, business analysis tools and techniques 
  • Ability to translate technical concepts as appropriate to the level of the audience 
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and establish priorities for your own work to meet timelines. 
  • Ability to work self-directed and as part of a team on projects of varying size; work well on multi-functional project teams and shows commitment to tasks, project and team. 
  • Proven ability to provide direction to others and influence decisions made. 
  • Demonstrable ability to negotiate with business and other IS groups to facilitate win/win scenarios. 

Education 

4 Year College Degree/bachelor's preferred, would consider equivalent hands on work experience.

 

An advanced degree in business or technology is a plus! 


The hiring range for this position is $106,000- $152,000. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience. The position is eligible to participate in FM’s comprehensive Total Rewards program that includes an incentive plan, medical, dental and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, well-being programs, a 401(k) and pension plan, career development opportunities, tuition reimbursement, flexible work, and time off, including vacation and sick time.
