AI Summary

Develop high-quality scientific communications and value dossiers for pharmaceutical clients while providing strategic guidance to the team. Lead day-to-day project activities, manage client relationships, and mentor junior analysts.

About the role

We’re looking for a Lead Consultant who can help develop extraordinary written communications for our pharma clients, from value propositions and global value documents to HTA submissions and local market access deliverables. Things you might be working on day-to-day include:

  • Global value dossiers

  • Payer value propositions and objection handlers

  • HTA submissions (NICE, SMC, NCPE, AMCP dossiers, plus JCA)

  • Evidence and access strategy planning workshops

  • Scientific advice projects (e.g. NICE, JSC, joint advice, parallel advice)

Where we excel is in blending brilliant writing with our knowledge of market access. If this sounds like you, or something you’d like to do in the future, then this role could be for you. We’re essentially looking for someone who’s comfortable with highly scientific writing, can tell a great story and has good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

You’ll typically split your time between developing brilliant content, providing strategic support and guidance for the team and leading day-to-day project activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Consistent development of clear, accurate (data and referencing), grammatically correct, technical and creative medical/scientific text for a variety of audiences that requires little to no strategic input from Strategic Advisor and no revision for accuracy and alignment with redthread/client house style before being client ready

  • Provide strategic support and guidance for the team when reviewing deliverables, and ensure that deliverables address the strategic challenges and client KPIs required and meet the redthread quality standards

  • Support securing new business wins including driving account management, identifying opportunities and preparing proposals and pitches

  • Lead client calls, ensuring everyone has a clear understanding of project objectives and desired outcomes. Support facilitator and lead sessions during strategy meetings, workshops and alignment calls

  • Be proactive in tracking projects including understanding and communicating timelines, actions and next steps, as well as ensuring projects remain within specification

  • Line management of Analysts and Senior Analysts, acting as a mentor and guide and supporting their development

Experience

We need you to have around 8-10 years’ experience - any less, and we’d be throwing you in at a deep end that might feel a little too deep.

You’ll be involved in a range of activities across the business, including leading day-to-day project activities, providing strategic support and guidance for the team, learning how to critique a global market access strategy, and acting as a mentor and guide to the Analysts and Senior Analysts.

Existing knowledge of market access and value communications is essential, and we’d prefer you to have a background in life-sciences. However, attitude and aptitude are more important to us than experience and qualifications.

As with all of our roles, you’ll receive lots of hands-on mentoring, and will have the opportunity to take relevant training courses. There’s also plenty of room for progression and promotion, if you’re proactive, work well in a team, and are keen to learn.

Working hours and pattern

Full time ideally. But we measure commitment by how dedicated you are, not by the hours you work. As with many aspects of our roles, when and where you work can be flexible, to suit your lifestyle and situation (within reason).

Location

This role will be remote i.e. home-working. We appreciate that while working from home has its perks, it can also be lonely, which is why we offer lots of opportunities to connect with the rest of the team, as well as the potential to work from co-working spaces local to you. Whether or not you’re wearing your pyjama bottoms on a Teams call is entirely your business.

Salary & benefits

£65-80k, depending on your experience. Our benefits include at least 25 days’ holiday (increasing each year) plus your birthday and the Christmas period off, discretionary profit share bonus, flexible working hours, funding for external training, Vitality private medical insurance, and industry-leading family friendly policies, including 8 weeks at full pay for the birth or adoption of a child, irrespective of gender (yours, not the baby’s!).

Before you apply

Please note, all applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. 100% of enquires and applications will receive a response.
