This position will own a project workstream. Lead Consultants are responsible for managing a project workstream during a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) implementation and will be accountable for driving these items through to completion. This includes coordinating the workstream tasks assigned to other project resources.
Responsibilities
- Lead project workstream(s) with little to no guidance from project leadership.
- Builds own plan to achieve desired out-put including scoping, planning and delivery of tasks within a workstream.
- Produce high quality work product.
- Understands the requirements of workstream, identifies gaps in requirements and works to obtain clarity with client for a finalization of what is required and expected.
- Enable client decision making by identifying viable solutions including pros & cons and time estimates.
- Provide guidance to, and effectively work with, other workstreams within a project.
- Collaborate with the project team to achieve project milestones.
- Serve as project team SME (Subject Matter Expert) for workstream and lead project resources in the delivery of workstream tasks.
- Proficient in most build and development tasks associated with a particular workstream, including scripting and business rule creation.
- Possess thorough, detailed knowledge of functional topics and processes including consolidation accounting, planning, budgeting, and cash flow with the ability to interpret a client's forecasting process and identify requirements to meet their needs.
- Serve as a trusted associate to the project leadership, ensuring assigned tasks will be completed on-time and will exceed client's expectations.
- Escalate project risks to project leadership on a timely basis.
- Demonstrate willingness to jump in and assist with other workstream tasks as needed.
- Build and develop authentic client and Finit relationships.
- Ensure a respectful and team-oriented work environment on projects.
- Provide real-time on-the-job feedback to team members. Communicate openly with clients to obtain real-time feedback.
- Participate in internal Finit activities.
- Assume ownership of one's own personal growth at Finit and continuously seek to broaden and develop new job skills and expertise.
Skills:
- Lead Consultants will typically have 3+ years' experience with CPM software and/or the financial close cycle.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
- Ability to develop and test formulas and rules while crafting a solution.
- Understanding of the project lifecycle.
- Understanding of broad external reporting requirements, and ability to understand how accounting and reporting practices would influence application design and functionality.
- Previous experience managing a small team or a workstream a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal skills as well as capability of tailoring communication based on the knowledge and needs of specific audiences.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to assist with managing project stakeholders within the expectations of Finit's core values.
- Energized by projects with high degree of uncertainty.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise consistently good judgment.
- High competence in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Qualifications:
- Previous OneStream experience a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent a plus.
- CPA a plus.

Remote Workplace:
Employees at Finit primarily work remotely. Our consultants may have some travel requirements to client locations. Our main corporate office is located in Cincinnati, OH and may be used for collaborative work.
