Job Title: Lead Cloud Subject Matter Expert

Location: Remote

Summary:  Seeking experienced Microsoft 365 professionals to support enterprise-level operations, modernization, and enhancement initiatives within a secure cloud environment. The role involves administration, development, security, compliance, collaboration tools, and operational support across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Azure, Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange, Intune, Power Platform, and related technologies in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead Microsoft 365 cloud architecture, design, implementation, operations, and maintenance activities across enterprise environments.
• Assess and implement US Federal Government compliance controls and policies including FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and Zero Trust standards.
• Identify security and compliance gaps and implement remediation procedures related to data security, retention, access controls, and governance.
• Implement and manage Microsoft 365 security controls including MFA, Conditional Access, DLP, retention policies, sensitivity labels, and Purview compliance solutions.
• Configure and manage Microsoft Purview Compliance Center features including Data Lifecycle Management, Data Classification, Azure Rights Management, Azure Information Protection, Customer Lockbox, Information Barriers, and Retention policies.
• Support SIEM/Splunk integrations, reporting, and Microsoft 365 security monitoring capabilities.
• Configure Microsoft 365 security posture based on industry best practices and federal security standards.
• Implement role-based access controls (RBAC), Entra Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and hardened Conditional Access policies.
• Support POA&M remediation activities, Federal Reserve OIG audits, internal cybersecurity reviews, and compliance assessments.
• Implement monitoring solutions for security events, user activity, and Microsoft Defender logs.
• Define and support incident response procedures for security and privacy incidents.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams on vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and security assessments.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on Microsoft 365 governance, licensing, compliance, privacy, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with executives, project managers, DevOps engineers, architects, and business analysts on enterprise cloud initiatives.
• Mentor technical teams and provide status updates, issue resolution, and strategic recommendations.

Requirements: 

• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in modern cloud technologies.
• Deep specialization in Microsoft cloud platforms such as Azure, Microsoft 365, and Power Platform.
• Expert-level Microsoft 365 experience.
• Experience leading multiple large-scale Microsoft 365 implementations.
• Hands-on design, configuration, customization, and third-party integrations experience.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with Zero Trust architecture.
• Experience supporting FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST standards.
