L2 Production Support Engineer – Java, UNIX, SQL

Summary

eClerx is seeking an experienced L2 Production Support Engineer. The preferred candidate will have high proficiency in UNIX.  The candidate will have the ability to understand data models, be well versed with advanced SQL, and be knowledgeable in performance and optimization.  In this role, you will be required to read and troubleshoot JAVA code. Prior application support experience is a must. 

Responsibilities

• High proficiency in UNIX shell navigation and scripting
• Skilled at all aspects of SQL development including advanced query and procedure writing
• Ability to read and debug programming code in Java, Python
• Knowledge of Scripting will be added advantage
• Experience tuning SQL code, quality assurance and unit testing
• Working knowledge of Control-M, Autosys will be good
• Proactive ownership and management of allocated tickets 
• Prioritize and manage multiple open tickets at one time
• Escalate incident tickets through the appropriate channels
• Effectively document investigative steps and analysis to escalate technical issue
• Investigate any identified issues with the implementation and then proactively drive resolution.
• Maintain up to date product knowledge and awareness of new features.

• Strong communication skills
• Good understanding of urgency, escalation & incident or problem management
• Good analytical skills
• Financial/Banking industry experience 
• Comfortable with multi-tasking and working as part of a global team
